I'd agree. After 2008 Euros he went downhill but it seems to be glossed over when people look back on his time here. Maybe that was helped by his personality though, which Gordon doesn't have

If CG was to bless himself in front of the Ibrox mains stand and act like a general clown, then some of us wouldn't be having this discussion!

By comparison, CG is dour... and ripe for the picking by some 'fans'.

I'll agree he started Mowbray's season poorly but the from about December onwards I thought he was good. Far better than Gordon anyway

Boruc quite rightfully received criticism toward the end of his career, as probably will Gordon.

The difference between Boruc and Gordon though, is that at their peak at Celtic, one was truly world class, the other was very good.

 

Well that’s insulting as *. If Craig Gordon managed to get us through to the last 16 twice in a row - and make no mistake Boruc was the biggest reason we got there - especially behind a defence with the likes of Paul Telfer and Lee Naylor in it, people would look more fondly at him.

Gordon is a decent keeper with some major flaws, that’s why he splits opinion.
