I know i said 'some daft OB'...but calling someone an OB doesnt make me a bigot... read the definition. Go back to school... Bigotry is a form of discrimination.
If I discriminated against someone because i believed they were an OB then I would be a bigot. Coz i call someone an OB isnt discrimination....it's just an opinion.

    B. Im not a *
    c. You obviously cant have a discussion without resorting to abusive language.
    D. No one is a bigot for calling some1 an OB - they are being abusive. (or cheek as ye would put it)
    E. the only reason i said go back to school was you didnt seem to understand the definition-thats all.

Neither can I, so * off and preach the bigots at Ibrox instead of coming on here trying to pick faults in Artur Borucs' wearing of a Pope t-shirt.

    P.S * Bless The Pope.

You already seem upset mate, that Boruc wore the t-shirt.

Otherwise why would you come here and argue that he was wrong?

You seem determined to put up an argument you'd expect to see from Rangers fans.

Have you a reason for this that you'd like to share with us?

Let's get this straight FMG, you are saying that calling someone an orange * is not bigoted, but, you are saying a Polish Catholic wearing a Polish Pope t-shirt is offensive to some, and is out of order.

I put it to you, that you are out of order. You have a problem. You have an obvious dislike of either Boruc, or the Pope? What is your real problem here, as you have chased these threads around the forum?

Iontach-I didnt blame Boruc for the guys death all I said was that boruc wouldnt be the 1 who gets done...he would go home and lock his door and it would be me you or others who would be in trouble because of his wind up method. Although you being in the US probably would be able to walk down to your local without fear of being done in the night of an OF game- maybe not in areas of Glasgow.

Paul67-A pic of the pope is not offensive in any normal circumstance- old firm game not normal. Separate football from religion. You could wear a pic of the pope any given day of the week and you would be entitled to do it and if anyone took offensive - shame on them.
You are also mixing terms - calling some1 an OB is not bigoted-its an opinion (abusive? probably) but read a definition of bigotry.
At no time did i say that the t-shirt was offensive to me but it could be offensive in the wrong situation such as an Old Firm game. Back to my point where it winds the huns up, they go out and cause mayhem coz we beat them and Boruc has added salt to that wound.
If you cant accept that a pic of the pope could posibly be offensive to certain people at certain times you are naive.
If Boruc wore that on a Tuesday afternoon in a pub who would care-all that would be is an outward sign of his faith and show support for a former pope who was also polish.
Boruc - i have a problem with him in so much that it isnt him that pays the price for wearing the shirt and stirring things... its you, me and others whilst he's in the house.
The pope i have no problem with.

kennydal-I gave you definition a few posts ago, but- bigot = a person intolerant of ideas of others. (Collins English dictionary)
This doesnt mean that i cannot identify and call someone an OB if i think they are, as long as i dont do anything to discriminate against them because of this. In my mind they are the ones who are intolerant of others who are not of their faith and i can see them as an OB and then i know who i am dealing with. Again all it means is that i can spot them and will look down on them. I tolerate their right to have their views even though I compeletly disagree with them and find them abhorrent.

My big point is separate religion form football-so Paul67 i have nothing to share with you regarding the huns. i have been a celtic supporter all my life butspare athought for the people who have to deal witth the aftermath of these situations when maybe you dont- differnt viewpoint. Win with style and dignity. Boruc doesnt.

Your views are nothing more than pandering to the bigots.

You've admitted wearing the t-shirt any day of the week is not a problem, but wearing it when Rangers fans are present is.

So the Rangers fans are the problem here.

    Educate them, problem solved.

All we've heard this week is that both clubs are doing their upmost to rid the sectarian issues, yet a Catholic cannot wear a t-shirt proclaiming his faith! Rangers fans declaring a problem with this shows a sectarian issue.
