Its removing the competition from games, Celtic & similar teams are becoming cannon fodder for the eliteist cabal that is forming amongst European competition.

The disappointing part of this is that I dont really believe we have learned anything and I dont believe there was any realistic expectation of anything else. We wont look at this game and think "wow, next season we shouldnt go into the champions league with one fit, mediocre, centre half". Because we knew that already and effectively chose just to just put a full back at centre half, a youth player at full back, and just hope for the best.

Celtic's policy is based on getting there are no more, and in a way that is as cheap as possible. So while getting pumped off anyone 5 0 at home stings, at least if I felt that it would lead to something positive it wouldnt be too bad. But sadly I think this is the way forward for celtic in the champions league (assuming we manage to get there next season). Whether that is the correct policy or not, I think there are pros and cons, but I think it will soon become a whole less glamorous for the fans who go and watch.

I got pelters last season for saying we wouldnt win a game, and I dont think we will win a game in the groups this season. That is just where we are.

 

They were very good to watch in the first half and the damage had been done. Never really seen mbappe before but for such a young man, he has been terrific.

We still look very inexperienced at this level apart from a few.

Still wish we had bought a decent CB however, he wouldn't have been much use tonight as PSG have been terrific. I think they have played better than Barca did when they gave us a masterclass at CP.

Anyway, onwards and upwards. Disappointing but let's hope to be far more competitive in Brussels.

If your going to be in the champions league you need to spend tens of millions and we are not a club to do that and unfortunately these kind of score lines will happen at this level.
