  1. Funny, I was actually expecting something more ridiculous than that.

  2. Yeah ken they are fan owned with memberships. Was dubious about saying Bank Owned as it wouldn't be the correct term, but I am sure the major bank in Catalonia (bank of tarragona?) had them covered.

Real Madrid are backed by the royals though, and what ever bank/finances they come from.

  3. I know, right? When you break it down, it is ridiculous, but when you think it is Messi, it doesn't seem that crazy compared to lesser footballers who have been quoted as similarly ridiculous values - Rooney we are looking at you,

  4. Aye, the greatest of all time for me, and when you consider the crazy figures in modern football, it isn't that mental.

What is his base weekly wage, though?

  5. According to Sky, it's £504,000 per week.

So for Messi, after tax, that is equal to £504,000 per week.

  6. Got to disagree with basically having all Euro leagues out with the EPL and Championship in one thread.

  7. Gotta say, it's going to be an interesting summer for us.

So far we've lost Christensen(back to Chelsea) and Dahoud(Dortmund), while we've also sold Korb(Hannover) and are looking for a team to take Hahn off of our hands.

Our new signings so far are Grifo(€6M/Freiburg), Cuisance(18/Nancy), Villalba(€1.5M/some team in Paraguay) and Zakaria(€10 - 12M/YB Bern).
    We're also linked to Retsos(CB/Olympiacos), Ingvartson(ST/Nordsjaelland) and Oxford(CB/West Ham).

Last season was quite dissapointing(in the league) but you can't expect more than 9th place if you're having a terrible first half to the season(17 points from 17 games) and are missing 3 - 8 important players throughout the season.

I hope we can stay healthy and somewhat keep that points per game average of the second half of the season(28 points from 17 games), which would mean us having a good chance to qualify for europa once again.

  8. Looks like a tough enough rebuild, two good players lost there.

Used to follow BMG when Reus was there, haven't seen much since but was impressed with them in the home game against us.

Stindl was brilliant that night, classy player.

  9. :56:

  10. It's pretty much the usual offseason for us, given that we have to replace players pretty much every summer.

During the last five years it was guys like Reus, Dante, Xhaka, Kramer(now back), Christensen, Dahoud, ter Stegen....

BTW: We actually extended contracts with guys like Sommer, Traoré, Johnson and Stindl.

  12. Seen Rivaldo's son scoring a belter against Bilbao, absolute rocket!

    Rivaldinho, class name! :56:

  13. Isco is running amok in the Spain Italy game. Completely mugging Verratti and De Rossi off in the process, the nutmeg on Verratti(?) in the second half was class

Isco has put in one of the best individual performances I've seen in a long time. Outstanding.

  14. Real Madrid the spine of this Spain team its like rerun of the CL final. Isco the star of the show still dont understand why Barca never tried to get him before Real did.

  15. Skipping past world class players like Verratti and De Rossi for fun, was outstanding :50:

  16. 17 years old, comes on as sub, scores with first touch on debut. What a gem!
