Excellent tonight. As he was against St Johnstone when he came on.

Him and McGregor are putting serious pressure on the 3 in the middle

Rodgers stated clearly he wanted a 'number 8' a fair bit before the Armstrong carry on ramped up.

He also said he wanted Champions League power and technique and someone capable of playing the killer pass.

For me, Ntcham was our number 1 target and we scored a beauty in signing him.

Ntcham is a huge upgrade on Armstrong who's a good player but won't be winning us champions league games on his own like a Rogic or Dembele can.

Personally I would not be bothered in the slightest if we sold Stu next year, especially for the fees banded about.

Totally disagree with that. The improvement in Armstrong in the last 12 months has been amazing. Can run with the ball, thread a pass, score goals and he's mobile. Thing is Ntcham, Brown, Rogic, Armstrong and to a degree McGregor all fighting for 3 places and Kouassi due back in a month. Just hope we can keep Armstrong, on his game he's up there with Rogic.

He isn't a huge upgrade. They're very different players.

Armstrong is far more attacking and will get more goals, but Ntcham is going to keep the ball and dictate the game.

I'd love to see the two of them in the same midfield.

Ntcham and Kouassi is the combo I want to see. Black Power.

Our midfield is congested now with too many players all vying for spots, giving Brendan a headache.
And that is why I think we could accommodate Armstrong at right back, just to get him in the team.

(Providing they all qualify for the World Cup of course) Imagine a group of France, Scotland and Ireland. The confusion of who to support! :56:

Armstrong has played his way into the PSG game for me. Mentioned on here how well he played against St Johnstone when he came on and his 2 appearances for Scotland were excellent. Rogic misses out unfortunately.
