    Well apparently we made an offer of £8m for Roberts, who knows what really happened.. if we had signed Roberts on perm for that then I'd more inclined to believe it..

    But can't see Edouard getting the football required to prove he's worth that..

    But you agree if he proves himself as a Champions League goalscorer and bangs in 20+ in Scotland that we'd fork out 9 to 10 million?

    I personally think it's a no brainer, the market has shifted and we'll fall in line with it. If he's even average Championship level you'll make your money back on him easily.

    Aye if he was to bang in the goals we'd pay it.. but as 3rd choice striker in a side that usually goes with one up top will he get the chance to prove he's worth that investment? Not unless we plan to punt Moussa in Jan..

    I don't think there is such a thing as first, second and third choice strikers.

    I also think we'll see 2 up top far more regularly this season, which he alluded to when he was talking about playing 3 at the back.

    It's maybe hard to separate what Dembele and Griffiths bring, but this lad will be behind them in the pecking order.

    He's only scored one senior goal, so aye we have loaned bags of potential and let's hope he's the real deal and maybe he'll make it a no brainier to activate the buy option..

    Looking forward to seeing him.

    edouard has been brought in as Dembele's ultimate replacement.

    I think the plan is to put dembele in the shop window, punt him for millions and use the money to secure both roberts and edouard.

    I could see us paying if he is as good as he's hyped up to be.
    Like people have been saying the market is changing and we'll change with it.
    We'll move on from buying players for 2-3million and selling for 12-13, to buying for 6-10milllion and selling for 20-30m.

    Our reputation for developing good players into top class players is growing and with players like Paddy Roberts and Dembele speaking so highly of us, teams will start respecting us more with their offers for our players.

    PSG are operating a level up just now in fairness in that literally any player in the world is fair game.

    Not saying Moussa isn't good enough to play for PSG but he'd have to do an Mbappe in the Champions League which would be an incredible feat.

    I think they are interested in him though.

    They still need another central striker, even as a back up/rotational and why not go for one of the top French U-21 talents in Moussa. He's a Paris boy and a supporter of the club too.

    Even without guaranteed 1st team football I imagine it would be hard for him to turn them down.
