I'd rather he'd have signed a 4 year deal, but that was never likely to happen. Just glad the deal is done and he can concentrate fully on playing football again.

Who's to say he might not renew again at the end of the season on top dollar if he reproduces his form from last season?

What options would they be? Ntcham who is just in the door? Armstrong who's head has been all over the place?

You can lie all day that you don't dislike Brown but it's clear as day to me and many others that that is indeed the case.

Brown starts, you cry, job done.

Brown has been excellent in qualification this season, especially v Astana. Brown is the driving force behind this team..

There will come a time when Brown will get phased out but it won't be this season. He will start every CL game if available.

Aye total nonsense to have our treble winning invincible captain play in our most important games.
He had one of the highest pass % and interceptions in the champions league last year.
    But your right total nonsense.

I'll stick my neck out and say all in top form Armstrong, Ntcham and Rogic would bring more to the MF in the CL over Brown. Therefore if all three are fit then they should be starting over Brown imo.

    Time will tell.

Its clear he doesn't want to be here but he's gonna sign on a bit longer to give us an opportunity to get more money . I feel the same as I did yesterday sell him now

I'm not disregarding the great season he had last season, there's no disputing that he was terrific last season in the CL for us. However lightening does not strike twice imo and I would be astounded if he played like that again this season. Already this season imo has has been nowhere near as good in the qualifiers, which doesn't bode well for the Groups.

Anyway, time will tell in what Brendan decides to do.
We'll see what happens come the first CL Group Stage game of the season, no point in discussing it any further.

Based on what? Armstrong being better than Broony in last seasons competition? No wait, it was Brown who was better than Armstrong.

Oh I know, it's based on Ntcham's wealth of experience in the CL, no wait, that's Brown as well.

Far too lightweight, whether you like it or not Brown is needed in our team massively. His drive and control of the game is essential, and it's took me a few years to click on to that aswell, don't worry you will see it eventually.

Brendan has already stated that he sees Brown as a mainstay in his team for the duration of his time here.

Didn't think he was a tim, he's had a good 6 months total. And he's been awful since all this contract * (that he created).

    Embarrassing post!
