    Current situation...

    1. Roberts will not be in City EPL / CL 25 man squad, so has no immediate future at Man City.

    2. No one (including Celtic) have offered a reasonable transfer fee of around £8-£12M
    Literally no one has mentioned the words 'bid' or 'permanent' - including agents, CFC and even the lying media.
    If we had made an offer, someone would have leaked given the huge attention this has.

    3. Celtic have funds to finance a permanent deal with a very healthy current bank balance + 2016 CL cash + van Dijk bonus + inevitable huge future profit on Dembele + 2017 CL cash (hopefully - improving squad would have make this more expect than hope)

    4. Brendan rates the player highly but perhaps not so much for a big permanent deal.
    He inexplicably played Forrest in front of Roberts last season multiple times before Paddy made it so obvious he is an order of magnitude better.

    5. City may loan him to a club who they think will improve him, but it's not a priority for them so have no need to rush and the first choice currently is NOT Celtic

    I think Celtic are over estimating the quality of current squad due to the hype of last season and underestimating the need to keep momentum and build by adding players such as Roberts, Dembele and Sinclair not just in one year, but every year.

    Agree with everything except the fact that there could have been bids near that range as many * and papers reported alleged bids and most of the time when there are real bids/no bids at all the media is just speculating like 80-90% of the time.
