Scott Sinclair!

Definitely seen him in better form. Was electric at times last season, haven't seen that so far from him this season. Still a threat.

 

Aye, he's becoming less influential as he once was.

Dunno if he's just having a slow start, or it's the dreaded "2nd season syndrome", but I've every faith he'll hit form when he needs to.

 

Have faith in sinclair to turn his recent form around. Not playing with a proper striker for a number of games might have some influence on that.

 

He doesnt play *, but do much more. I have a feeling he will have a MOTM performance vs Astana.

 

One thing that's annoying me about his linking up with KT (which was so fruitful for us), is his lay offs and weight of pass to KT..

So often KT will be in acres of space out wide, Sinclair will have the ball central, swivel and then have so much room to set KT off. The amount of time's he play's it and KT has to check his glide or take a couple of steps back is infuriating..

Not committing defender's 1 on 1 when he has the chance either..

Needs a kick up the * in my opinion..

Excellent player but no one should feel undroppable or subbable (no even a word I know)..

 

* me off. Anonymous in both legs against Rosenborg, pish against Hearts and by all accounts pish tonight.

Like Monaghan said, he has everything in his locker to shred any full back in this league but he has a lot of performances like that one tonight. Everybody is allowed an off night, but there's too many games where he's anonymous.

Plenty of times he'll pop up with a goal, which is great, but it doesn't mean he's necessarily played well.

 

Someone said on Tuesday night wee rumour going about stoke made an enquiry for him last week. Probably pish but ye never know....

Doubt we would take it if true

 

Knows he's never getting dropped, and is slacking.

 

He needs to up his game pronto, the problem with him is there's no competition on his side, he knows he's a guaranteed starter every week.

I don't think we'll see him return to the kind of form he was in last season until Dembele/Griffiths, Rogic and Roberts are all starting in attack alongside him together. Which isn't good enough because he should be standing up and being counted as a player in their absence who should be taking more initiative in these games and being our match winner, which he isn't, he's hiding and shirking responsibility.

From a player who's our highest paid he needs to be producing far more than he has done this season so far, the amount of times he's played it safe and went back to Tierney is bordering on criminal for a winger who's got as much skill and pace as he has. As I've said before, his passing, first touch and decision making are all way off.

 

Certainly might be a factor.

At somepoint thought it'll affect the others, especially the midfield players. Knowing he's Brendan's blue eyed boy, and never getting dropped.

 

I agree. Sinclair needs to do better and up his game pronto. This Astana game will either make or break our season, Europe wise. We can't afford to fail.

 

His early form is a worry looks like he needs a good boot up the * to get him going..

 

Needs to up his game. I'm confident he will.
