Pretty much exactly what I took from that. Brendan seemed almost worried and panicking a bit there, trying to force the issue by talking about it.
I reckon he's for the offski.

Yep. I took zero comfort from that..

When the manager (who has been smooth as you like since his tenure here) is concerned like that. I fear he's definitely away..

    He didn't sound confident whatsoever..

I actually thought last week that we may get it done after being worried before. Tonight his performance maybe even more than Brendan's word's told the story..

If he wants to go, then show him the door.

If he wants to stay, then he'll need to use every bit of fight in him that he showed last season to cement his place in the team again.

Either way, we move on as a team...

I'm worried if Ntcham is his replacement, I haven't been overly impressed with Ntcham overall, tidy passer n that (Mostly) but the Armstrong of last season brought far, far more to our side in the middle of the park.

Not long ago Rodgers was saying 'it's just about there. Not far apart' ... now it sounds like it nowhere even close

Think he has an offer we won't match ,possibly looking to be a top earner at the club, this is down to brendans judgement of wot he's worth .

What I don't get though, why is Brendan playing him ? It's almost as if he's trying to convince him to stay.
If Armstrong doesn't wanna be here, then he can * rot in the reserves until someone comes n takes him.

I'm no sure mate. Maybe he's ummin and arring not giving much away, leaving the door slightly open?

We should set a day Thursday after Astana of a deadline, stay or be put up for transfer. It's got well to that stage now in my opinion..

He maybe thinks he is worth more than what is being offered and knows he will get a lot more at a Southampton or West Brom but he won't win another trophy or medal with those clubs

Absolutely. I'm with Sutton on this. Armstrong does not 'hold the cards' anymore. Brendan has shown he's willing and happy to drop him, and has actually went and spent millions on a player in his position.
He better buck his ideas up or this could end really badly for him.

He looked a right grumpy * because he was on the bench. Didn't do anything when he came on to warrant getting in the starting XI. Was very sloppy and couldn't make some straight forward passes.

Didn't actually catch Brendan's interview at the end but it doesn't sound promising. If he doesn't want to be here get rid of him now.

He was pretty awful when he came on tonight, and I thought Ntcham did OK in his position. Didnt really want him to leave but if he doesn't want to be here then show him the door.

To lose that drive and 17 goals from midfield and bear in mind it was December onwards he kicked on is a massive loss

Nah mate he's a profesional ,won't come into it ,just knows hes in a good position to get the best deal one way or the other ,also could force the club to sell making it seem against his wishes ,but the fans are already turning against him which is a shame from one of the most loved last season .

I agree with Brendan. Armstrong needs to man up and sign the contract or * off. Dont be hanging around running down your contract hoping one of the clubs from the EPL might take a fancy to you...either stay and commit yourself to Celtic 100% or * off to the over-hyped horse * of English football.
