Not at our best but we need to look at it properly. One of our biggest games of the season comes this Wednesday. Keeping griff, rogic and Armstrong a rest is a good move. Just hope ajer gets a go a go ahead infront of bitton

 

Nah man, hes got far more defensive qualities than Bitton. Not seen him put a foot wrong in defence anytime hes played there

We need a centre half baldy.

 

we have a midfielder playing center half who isnt good enough to play midfield, playing league games with no recognised striker... sorry yeah, great stuff from the board, nothing to see here

 

So comfortable 1st half, then we seemed to fall asleep in the 2nd. Poor passing, poor link up play and poor decision making, totally against the grain of the 1st half.

Missed a good few chances in the 2nd half through poor choices. Rogic shot at the near post, when Griffiths was free at the back. Griffiths then taken the ball from Forrest who was running onto it and also passed up a good opportunity which he would bury and did so from similar in the 5-0 last season.Couple of breakaways where we chose the wrong pass as well. Not like us, normally very good at capitalising on those chances.

Thistle had 2 big moments in the game. Doolan free header and the "penalty" at the end. Doolan should have scored and if they guy never somersaulted into a forward roll while claiming for a penalty, he might just have got it. Was no intent from Bitton but sloppy stuff like the rest.

Brendan was fizzing for the majority of the 2nd half. Most animated I've seen him. And rightly so. We've set a good standard and fell well below that tonight in the 2nd half.

 

Wan - null, that'll dae. The invincibility still holding strong.

Hope Fartic Pissle are as strong defensively against the Huns. When's the start of the final qualification round? Gonna be in serious trouble if Griff gets injured.

Where the * is all the money? The group stage money from the last few years and the Wanyama/Forster/Virgil money? That's like £40+million, lucky if a quarter of that has been reinvested in the team. I don't get how the board don't prioritise making the group stage so highly.
