100% profit clause, aye Pete would go for that :56:
Or we could sell for the price paid and a player/s swap, I can see Pete going for that one right enough :giggle1:

sounds more like a deal two southern gentlemen would strike back in the 1800s.
don't know about England but I'm sure slavery is frowned apon in Scotland. :84:

It wouldn't be deemed a loan though, and an actual transfer, with them in theory actually owning all his rights - it would be a 3rd party ownership.

Absolute madness of a deal and I wouldn't believe that for a moment.

I could believe us signing him for 8-10 million and handing over a 50% profit clause. But that would be a massive stretch even at that.

    Daily Record / JK said:

"We just have to be patient on it"
"We've made them aware that Patrick had a fantastic time here and there is a lot of admiration for him from our end.

"But Manchester City have him under contract and Patrick has to be involved in that decision as well.

"We just have to be patient and see if something materialises on it.

"But at the moment nothing is really happening on it."

    Hmmm, my interpretation of this...

'we really like him and he likes us too...please give us a wee loan of Paddy again, pleeease'

Not sounding good imo for a permanent deal, the word 'bid' never mentioned by anyone, at any time

at best I am now only 50% hopeful for a loan as City try and find him 'better' options - otherwise it would be done already :31::31::31:

I disagree I think if Celtic wanted him on loan this deal would be concluded. It's Celtic looking him on a permanent which is holding this up.

Hope so..but I just don't see any evidence from either press or the CFC staff quotes so far...the tone everywhere is all pointing to loan.

You don't say 'he likes us' to persuade a club to sell a player.
For a Loan yes that talk makes sense, to sell its simply not relevant

Imagine the club would know by now city's intentions on the player, and judging by those quotes it's still on

I know, it wouldn't even be in Man City's interests to get 100% of the profit because Celtic would need an incentive to sell over the price they paid. People just talk * to pretend to be in the know. No one has a clue what's going on.

I have no doubt that we've been/are still trying to work out a permanent deal but it just might not be doable. The prices down here are astronomical and City just may want to keep him long term as he's one of the best/if not the best young winger England has..

A bit of patience needed. It's obvious we're trying hard as EVERYONE is talking about it, from all our coaching staff to his agent..

If we get him back in any capacity, touch. If we get him back on a permanent......I won't need to pump my missus for a year..

Think they are just flexing their EPL tadger mate. They don't want or need him, we do. They are in no rush so are acting all Billy big baws at the wee Scottish team. They are fuds, Paddy will be here.

Just my opinion I haven't any info

Be pretty stupid of them to sell them cheaper than they could, though.

Aye, never heard of that deal in the history of football, must be made-up. They'd just demand a buy-back clause if they're really reluctant to sell imo. Haven't Real and Juve activated their buy-back clause then quickly sold the player for much higher a few times before?

dosen't really matter though. if man city get a £15m bid from, say, westham and paddy says naw, then that deal aint happening. and whats the point of man city having an unhappy player on there books ?
take a £5m loss and accept Celtics £10m bid ya greedy *.
just thinking..... maybe that's why big roy Aitken was brought back, as our chief negotiator.
R.A- geez paddy or i'll kick your * in.
PEP- o.k, please don't hit me.

    Beginning to think this myself.

Only other thing could be City not wanting to loan him to this league again, I suppose.
