So strong on the ball. Didn't really put a foot wrong today apart from being caught taking too much time on the ball once.

Said it in the match threat, but his passing is going to be massive for us against sides who continuously sit deep and look to * a point against us.

He sits quite deep alongside Brown, I thought he was a box-to-box midfielder?

He's a quarterback type deep lying midfielder. His awareness, touch and distribution are exceptional. He was the most consistent player on the pitch for me today.

How long did he get the day??
More game time and experience he gets in the first 11 could be vital for the Astana games.

He needs more game time he sat to the side of Brown got caught out trying to block off a hearts player and hold the ball when he should have played it back to the keeper in the 2nd half

    Looks very impressive do far.

I can tell he's going to be a big part of the club.

For me he is more a lenny type player who breaks up play and keeps the play moving ,need to remember he's still fairly young and inexperienced ,had a decent 7 out of 10 for me.

    Back to Biton or Jozo?

I know what you mean but it was an easy pass to the CB, think it was Biton

I like his touch and his passing. He's strong and spins away from his man quite nicely, but as @Darnok said, I thought he was a box to box midfielder? Maybe he was playing to instructions, but I'm expecting more as he gets settled in.

I know we play this short passing style to wear teams down, but I'd like to see someone with the passing ability of Ntcham looking to switch the play earlier. There seemed to be quite a few situations in that first half where we'd be going down one side and the switch to the opposite full-back was on, but we'd get there in 3-4 passes when we could maybe get there in one and have a better chance to create something.

Just a small thing, but still.

Like others I want to see him run with the ball and run at players he is not scared to ask for the ball and move it about.

I want him.to run at people and take people on and have a shot at goal, in saying that I think that will come, he looks good and over time he will only get better.

Yeah, it is not that he will be misused sitting deeper in Europe, I just thought yesterday there were many instances where he could have moved into space a bit further forward as Hearts were sitting off us so much. It is the reason Armstrong got so many goals last season.

Im happy to be proved wrong, not trolling either.

I genuinely dont see the massive fuss everyone else is seeing yet, he got caught heavy footed once or twice yesterday and put atleast two stray balls straight to hearts.
Hes also very slow compared to our tempo, he plants his feet then passes and it slows down play compred to the first touch passes Tierney and Sinclair etc make

I think with match fitness and Rodgers he can be a great signing, but so far hes done nothing other than make 1 or 2 decent passes.

His first touch and ability to turn on a sixpence are fantastic.

That's been far more impressive than his passing thus far. He's just turned 21 though and has barely got his foot in the door yet, be a couple months before we see the best of him.
