My take on this is simple, Armstrong is an excellent player was superb last season and is somebody I would love to keep. I am not panicking about the situation but if he does go we will still get 7-10m. We have just signed Ntcham who isn't like for like but is still a player who can slot in straight away, we saw yesterday Eboue is a good player and if given oppotunitys could fill that void, but with 8million we can go out and buy a ready made replacement for around 5 and then put the other money into buying a new winger or centre back or whatever so if we lose him lets not panic its his choice. I don't begrudge people wanting to try and play at a better standard. He will never do any better than Celtic as a club he's bound for a * team like Southampton or Palace but if he wants to get more money and play in the prem then fair play but we will replace him and he wont find a better club. If he goes good luck to him.

 

I'll be absolutely gutted if he leaves.

I know it makes no sense from a financial point of view but I'd almost rather him run down his contact than go this summer.

 

If he goes he goes, no affiliation to us. It a real lack of class and respect considering we only got 8 decent months out his contract but if we can quadruple our original outlay then great need to replace 17 goals and a power of running from midfield though

 

No it isn't, he's well within his right to look for the best deal that is possible to him.

 

Am sorry but as far as we know Celtic have not accepted any bids therefore he should have no offers on the table unless he is being tapped up!

I agree with that but, and I said it before, I'll lose a lot of respect for him if he * off at the first opportunity. Rodgers has turned his career around and improved him tenfold.
