BR on @StuArmstrong16 contract latest: "Final year of his contract and we hope he signs a new one."

BR: "Speak regularly with the boy and he wants to be here. If his agent can speak with the club and organise a deal then would be great."

BR: "He's a boy I really like and someone who still has development and a young player who I believe wants to be at Celtic."

I've got a bad feeling about him, I think if he was going to stay he'd of signed already.

I mean haven't we been speaking to him since January?

Yeh , the player is in control not the agent ,so * that * ,am not having it ,this is how it works , either his agent has said leave them to sweat says they know we got options, so trying to get the best deal , but it could go wrong if Celtic are prepared to call their bluff,.
Or he is deliberately running his contract down using his "akward" agent as an excuse .
    My take .

Feels strange, all this "he wants to stay" isn't what I want to be reading. He's a smart lad, can't imagine he'd let an agent control him.
Definitely deserves a big wage rise, get it sorted BR

I think he'll sign even if there's no movement on this by the end of the window. Could be one of those that get resolved after the madness of the window is over and done with.

He's a smart guy. He knows the score.

Always looks happy to be here, I don't think he's the sort to deliberately cause problems, could be wrong but we'll see. Confident he will sign a new contract though.

    TalkCeltic BREAKING NEWS.

Stuart Armstrong has signed a pre contract with Aberdeen. Rumours are GMS lured him after reminding he'd have to do his own washing.

As plenty have said he's an intelligent lad, not daft. He loves it here and is popular with fans, teammates and management alike. Literally be lunacy to leave.

Does anyone think his performances may genuinely take a dip after GMS leaving? As mad as that sounds there are still question marks over his mentality slightly for me because his first 18 months here he was very powder puff in the majority of his game time.

I'd like to see him stay but if his performances start to take a dip (Starting with tomorrow nights game) then it may be best to sell this window as we're not exactly short in MF options.

I'd like to keep him but imo I can only see one scenario happening this window, and that is that he will be off.

Well if you consider that gms played like he had Stuarts boaby in his * too often running like a sissy, there could be a performance boost for both players if they decide to let that fiddle diddle stuff go.
