It will be hillarious when he drops to the bench at Southampton and loses his place at the national team to Callum McGregor

 

Don't know is who's pulling the strings, him or his agent but Armstrongs no mug and the fact he hasn't signed yet tells me he maybe wants a big money move,he knows Celtic want pay over the odds in wages.
I hope he stays but if he is off then so be it.

 

This is the kind of thing that will drive me mad as a fan. I never expect us to go out and spend millions and millions to improve as I don't believe we need to, but when we are in such a good position and look like we are making progress towards becoming a top side, we can't afford to be losing one of the integral parts of that.

If we lose Armstrong there's a massive hole left in our team, which won't be easy to replace.

 

I would imagine Brendan would have told the board what he thinks is a fair weekly offer for Stuart and that's probably been slightly below the amount knowing us

 

Would Brendan get much of a say in something like that? I would say he's desperate to keep him so would be telling the board to pay him whatever is required/possible.

 

That hole could easily be filled. Pocket the 6M or so and tell him to GTF.
And then recall Scott Allan from Dundee

 

It's difficult to judge without knowing the full facts..

However losing Stuart would be a huge blow, he was arguably our most consistent player and a candidate for
POTY..

He's only going to get better and we should see that development at Celtic, I hope BR can step in and help get it done..

Any transfer business would be soured if we lost him this season.

 

Don't know what's going on behind closed doors but I hope he's not making totally unrealistic demands after one good season with us, no matter how good it was.

I'd really like for him to say but would prefer this resolved sooner rather than later.

 

Not even a good season when you think about it he only really broke into the team around end of October.

 

I don't think it'll be as big a blow as some might think. The issue for me would be losing him on the cheap. I like the fact we have a core of Scottish players so him moving on would be annoying but he is by no means irreplaceable.

If he is holding the club to ransom then i say make a final offer, give him a couple of weeks to sign and then sell if he refuses. No point in having something like this drag on all season.

 

Would be * if he left, he has been terrific of late and I'm surprised if he is hedging toward a move away because it would only be money orientated as once he leaves he'll never win a thing again, outwith Championship.

Pocket the money, use it to bring Paddy home, let Nchatam replace this greedy * and McGregor become the new player rehabilitated and turned into something big by the best coach in the british isles. Problem solved. Armstrong need us more than we need him
