  1. Nah.

Being 'Celtic minded' isn't a prerequisite.

  2. Not nowadays. But it helps.
Armstrong is career minded anyway. Hasn't he got a law degree.?

  3. Don't know if he's finished it yet.

  4. He hasn't. He took time out from it to concentrate on his football.

I would like to know what the stumbling block in the negotiations is. I don't think it would just be money, although I could be wrong. I wonder if he's saying GMS has to stay if he is to as well. Unlikely I know, but something odd is going on.

  5. Papers talking * here. Armstrong won't be going anywhere.

  6. Few posters elsewhere suggesting its down to length of contract. Personally I see something like that as most likely. We are offering a longer contract than he wants.

  7. I'd have thought being a footballer a longer contract is more beneficial. Such a short career and could have a career ending injury at any time

  8. He's not finished, he's only 25.

  10. Thought they had insurance for that now anyway. Gordon even said he had a multi million pound payout waiting if he never managed to play again.

Maybe he wants a 3 year deal, then it's only 2 more seasons before he can try for another wage rise etc. Celtic want to commit to 4 or 5, then he hits that age where he won't get a wage rise and may end up back at Dundee etc. Or he's doing a Joe ledley and he'll be off before the window closes.

  11. Thought Ledley said he was on verge of signing a contract but got called into Lennons office and was told by Lawwell they'd accepted a bid for him

  12. If he is holding us to ransom he can get to *. Hes not done enough to be one of the top earners such as Broony etc. Hes had one good season and it might have went to his head.

  14. Think he wants a move to EPL but probably before he is 29/30 which a 3year deal on top of his 1 year would make him.

  15. He left Cardiff because they lost the play off final and felt it was the right time to leave. If they'd have won it he would have stayed.

  16. Maybe. I personally don't think he's had his head turned though like some. Think he will sign a new deal. Papers starting early trying to unsettle us before big game on Friday

  17. I think he will sign a new 4 year deal before the game on Friday, if he is good enough he knows he can get a move to a much bigger side than the ones he has been linked with in a year or two

  18. Maybe all this is to do with is his agent ? Wasn’t there a player here that had these issues sacked his agent and then signed a new deal a few seasons ago I’m pretty sure there was rattling my brain at who though

  19. also think the papers are making it out to be a one in one our situation he new guy doesn’t always just play in the number 10 just like Armstrong doesn’t either
