I agree about Musonda, his brothers have all done nothing in the game either, after all the hype with them. He's super lightweight, has no final ball and hardly scores. When Brendan made the quote I thought straight away he was talking about an out and out no 10. He mentioned Coutinho, then the Liverpool strikers, so for me that's not a winger. We've also just signed Hayes, and he likes Forrest, who was first choice until a few months ago when Paddy started being brilliant every week. I thought we needed a centre half before Boyata got injured. We let Efe and Toure, which is obviously fair enough, - Toure looked well of the pace since the Motherwell game. We also have no-one coming through. O'Connell, Kelleher and Josh Kerr all left. I'm amazed he didn't have someone lined up. I think he should try and get Caulker, I'm sure we could get him on a free, Rodgers knows him and it could be ideal. I thought he was going to be a top top player when he came through at Tottenham. On paper he is the perfect centre half for us, we play a high line and he was one of the quickest defenders in the EPL. I also like Flanagan, quick, aggressive, I just worry about him, I think he might be someone that is obsessed about playing for Liverpool and might not settle anywhere else. Also his injury record, and it's always serious injuries. In general I think we need more leaders in the team. More height, power, aggression.

Don't see Bojan as the player to add 'power' to the squad. :giggle1:

I'd be truly amazed if the guy Rodgers is bringing in is somebody not mentioned in the media or who we have guessed.

Palasic looks the bizz. I actually think the youtube vid of him doesn't really do him justice, it's like a flirting to burst in to life vid and pretty safe..

He looks like a player that can genuinely boss a game and dictate the tempo though. Comfortable with both feet, excellent range of passing. Big, strong, decent bursts of pace when running with the ball, and positionally very good..

Played for Monaco and Milan in last 2 season's and a Croatian international. Only 22..

Massive room for improvement under Brendan as well..

Think we'd be really happy with this and much stronger for Europe..

What price scale would he be?

It's just me putting a few things together mate but out of everyone mentioned, he fits best.

    1. Position Rodgers has targetted quality in for a while
    2. He's available
    3. He's from a club where BR has connections
    4. He fits the description of being young, powerful, brings strength and is vastly experienced for his age - all things Rodgers has mentioned in regards to this player
    5. He'd cost a decent amount, something else Rodgers alluded to saying 'significant investment' would be made on this player - Over £6m
    6. From what I have seen of him, he is a Rodgers player. Strong, good work ethic, can play through the midfield and can nab a goal

To have played in France, Italy and Spain all by the age of 22...something must be right.

I think all that could also refer to Nathan Chalobah.

    Id be happy with both.

Apparently Galatasaray bid £2.2m, i think it would take about £4-5m at least considering he's young, physical, played a full season with AC milan and is owned by one of the richest clubs in the world.

Chalobah is too defensive I think, mate. I'd take him but would be underwhelmed, would rather we brought him in alongside a more box-to-box type.

Rodgers wants a 'number 8' he's mentioned it before. Pasalic suits that description as well.

Probably even isn't him but I'm getting my hopes up regardless.

Talk is of around 5-6 mill I think mate. Probably be a bargain given his pedigree already and potential..

Yep, I completely agree. I also believe with someone who mentioned that the media were going down the wrong route of Chelsea player but got some sort of wind about it, hence the mental furore over Musonda..

I'm just hoping we can get it done now, if it's him or whoever else it might be..

Exactly, he's no exactly being sent out to Viteese or some other small club's. He's his last 3 club's he's been at have been some of the biggest in their league's. Monaco, Milan and Chelsea (albeit hasn't played for his parent side). Even before as you say he was in La Liga and an international for a side who are majorly strong and could compete with most in Europe in that department (central midfield)..

Given his young age and standing already, you'd naturally expect him to absolutely stroll it domestically and do really well in Europe..
