    Don't worry mate.

We have an ex Barcelona, Roma, AC Milan and Ajax playmaker arriving on Friday.

    How's that for Holywood.

If he can play on the right we have got another player who can score more goals than forrest for me forrest has to move on he's far to inconsistent and gets way too much of tht ball and does very very little

I agree that it's not the signing we all hoped for but at the same time, I think he'll turn out to be a good wee signing for us and a great bit of business.

Welcome to the greatest club in the world Johnny.

I don't think Rodgers and his staff have ever thought that Hayes would be a nailed down starter. I also don't think this signing means others defo aren't coming.

Every manager needs there dependable domestic signings if it means the load can be lightened for, lack of a better term, our top players.

I reiterate every manager needs them , I think he'll work hard and be reliable squad player. Can we really rely on the likes of GMS? Bring in another winger and that's us with Sinclair, Hayes, Forrest and another. That sounds, very much to me, like the compact, hard working and reliable squad Rodgers has been talking about. With regards to the wingers anyway.

Sorry for the rambling, don't post much and just wanted to make my point. By no means am I trying to denounce or argue with anyone :60:

Would prefer Christie over him rather than giving away Christie and over a million.

Anybody giving the "BUT TRUST IN BRENDAN" line, come on, not every manager is going to get every signing right. Martin O'Neill signed David Fernandez, Gordon Strachan signed Willo Flood, Neil Lennon signed Derek Borreigter. I see Hayes being in that sort of category.

Thankfully, we have so much money that 1mil is * all to us, and the whole transfer window to go to bring in the much, much higher quality players we need. And that's where my trust in Brendan Rodgers does come in.

Of course this signing has zero baring on Roberts or any other signings..

We've no long finished our season. Still had a host of internationals playing the weekend and why Armstrong still hadn't signed his. Our manager has had a break and just been married..

I expect this to be the start of a couple of ins and outs (as we're seeing) over the next week being ramped up..

This. People saying he is a "solid" spl player are selling him way way short. Best player outside Celtic for a long time and has a lethal cross , a great turn of pace and is a good goalscorer. Will be a big success here and he is better than Forrest as his assists and goals stats will prove.

29 goals in 206 games for Aberdeen.

    Good goalscorer?

We have a guy who plays the same position as Hayes who nearly managed that amount of goals in one season alone. Now that's a good goalscoring winger.

His goal stats are surprising. He always looks a player when I watch Aberdeen and his crosses are sublime. Will be very interesting to see what squad number he gets.

Agree with what your saying, but fucksakes another to have a go at Forrest..

I hope he is a big success but its different doing it for us.. Forrest proved himself last season Johnny has still to.

And he generally plays on the other side to Forrest, he's not a replacement for Roberts, Forrest or Sinclair just a good addition to the squad.
