I can see that train of thought mate but that's the manager's job to spot that and help him out, not the referee..

Halliday unquestionably should've walked. Only Collum knows why he didn't deem that a red..

Haliday fears Roberts thats why he tried to put him out of the game or at least hope a thuggish tackle would scare him into having a quiet game. What hope does a * knuckle dragger like Haliday have against a player with as much talent as Paddy Roberts. Nice to see that despite Haildays attempts the wee man carried on no problem. The * zombie was trying to be play the hard man and should have been sent off.

With a name like his,he has to stay. The ability this kid has is potentially World Class,Spend the next 10 years at Celtic Paddy, win league titles, play in the Champions League,International honours and be a hero to millions of Celtic supporters throughout the world and go down in history as one of the greatest Celtic players...or he can go back to City and go on loan to Watford or Soke or Burnley or any other * club in the Sky Premiership,I really hope Man City don't price him out of a move to us.

No doubt mate, not saying it wasn't a shocker and he had a 2nd bookable offence right afterwards as well. Collum felt sorry for him with that I think.

It was the intent for me though, he tried to take Paddy out of the game. It was through nothing but fear and Paddy's reaction shows you just how good a player he's going to be. It was how early in the game it was, you get those in Glasgow Derby's, like Robson's elbow and Stokes's shocker a few years back because honestly, I thought Collum had an uncharestically good game in general, never let the game get out of hand and let it flow well.

And that's despite me thinking he should have sent two Rangers players off. Not sure what that says about the standard of refereeing in this country :56:

Don't buy the feeling sorry stuff bud. McGregor hardly ever get's in to challenges and is a wee guy who is cultured and despite his astonishment look Collum didn't give 2 * sending him straight off..

A case of not wanting to upset the huns is what it was. A disgraceful reason in itself. Feeling sorry for them is how he officiated the game after the penalty..

Exactly, should've been 2 reds but he had a good game. It's bizzare :56:

Maybe so mate, wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, just the feeling I got from it but. I * hate Willie Collum so it might just be my happiness of the day rubbing off on me :56:

If Collum had sent off Halliday so early he maybe thought it would have destroyed the game as a spectacle, same thinking for Beerman. So he elected for yellows and a word in the ear.

I could be wrong, but that is what I think, Collum was thinking.

But by booking him he's only inviting more tackles like that to be made because he won't show the red. It's awful refereeing.

Same here, great entertainment watching him. Celtic need to monitor the situation after he returns to Man City, if he's rotting in the Man City reserves or his career is not going so well at another club then we should make a serious offer for him. We may make a offer at the end of season but Man City will no doubt ask for more than what Celtic are willing to pay. Celtic should be willing to go as high as £6 million for a player of his talent, we all know we have the money to do that.

I expected better protection from the stickler as he usually takes no nonsense in his defence. Wee Hitler * and we've been getting it tight for month's..

Just think he let a few too many go today when 'usually' he'd be all over it..

Fuckit though we've pumped the * silly in all 3 domestic cups this year. No bad for a side who couldn't do it 'while they were gone' :56:

But by the same token Collum has never been shy dishing out red cards before.
That dozen't seem to stack up. For me Collum was doubly aware the SFA beaks were keenly watching his performance after the disasters of Bobby Madden and Don Robertson. So Collum ( rightfully IMO) played it low key, kept a firm grip on affairs, and didn't court controversy.
You are aware Collum did award Celtic a penalty against Rangers ?

Collum awarded a stonewall penalty. What, is that meant to prove he had a great game? It was as blatant a penalty as you'll see.

The Halliday tackle was a straight red every day of the week. No matter how you try to defend Collum, which is * weird tbh, he got it wrong.

I'm not trying to defend Gollum, he is a horrible little *.:giggle2:
Just pointing out Collum had a lot stacked on his shoulders going into this game.
If I remember right Jozo had a bad tackle on McKay ? Same action taken there a yellow. At least Collum showed a level of consistency in his decisions.

Jozo's tackle was never anywhere near a red card or as bad as Halliday's, whether you want it to be or not.

    No he didn't show consistency.

Jozo's tackle was nowhere near as bad as Halliday or Beerman. You say you're not defending Collum but you clearly are.
