Don't forget we made a fortune from that preseason tournament we were in.

I do hope Celtic would consider some sort of revenue-generating opportunity with the CL "bonus" money. If not another club, then some type of Stadium enhancement (museum, improved hospitality, hotel, etc) that could form another stream of income would be a smart use of at least some of the money. If not this year, then certainly after a second year of CL qualification.

US would make the most sense. After China and India, it's rapidly growing in interest in the country. We have a lot of connections there, too, especially with our Irish roots. Should open a few academies at the very least.

I wouldn't rely on that too much. I traveled the US and Canada for 6 months. I went to several CSCs and 99% of the people were Scots. Same as most CSCs i've been to in Europe.

I think it served us well in the past but not so much today. Most Irish I know around the world support English teams and have a small passing interest in Celtic. My family being the exact same. We live in Scotland and support Celtic but the ones back in Ireland support Man U, Liverpool etc even * Middlesborough. Whores and bores I call them :)

I would imagine ST will rise again next season if we win the T-word. Hopefully the club freeze the prices and dont over inflate them, get 417-419 full again next season what a site Celtic park is when it is full!

I'm going for the manager is easily taking up that £1m extra in football expenses with his wage alone. Worth it.

Definitely, Ronny was reported to be on around £300/£400k, BR is apparently on £2m per year.

    Quick Question.

Is it possible that the potential/future earnings(in this case Champions League money) can be listed in the accounts, even though it hasn't been technically received?

Would be a ridiculous thing to do, the way Celtic is run I can't see us banking money before it's actually in the bank.

No. It can be possible to project future earnings but I wouldnt think we need to do that.

You have to enter earnings / expenses for the period in which they accrue so, if we played our champions league games in the 6 months to December (which we did) then the income is already included. If we dont have an accurate figure, it will have been estimated

The earnings from UEFA won't be until end of season.

Anyone else bit ragging with amount money we made and only spent 2.8 million in January transfer window.
Surely we could afford spent 5 million on top talent in smaller leagues

No - we have already earned them - they just wont get paid till then. Besides, I am sure I read somewhere they have already been calculated / paid out?
