Energetic player. Ran the most ground per 90 mins last season in the prem.

I remember him being highly rated at Everton. Was about to say it sounds like a Hun signing but he has actually played quite a few games for Bournemouth this season.

Getting a goalkeeper is like buying a new car. You have to check all the components are working, the bodywork is good and it is fit for purpose.:giggle1:

That video IMO is inconclusive. I like a goalkeeper who can actually hold on to the ball, and less of the punching.I still think the French goalkeeper Thomas Didillon seemed the more solid bet.

What you want in a goalkeeper most of all is great reflexes ( reason being that you can't develope reflexes, you can develope everything else), and Didilion would seem to have them.

He'd be a signing on paper that I'd not be excited about but one which could end up surprising me.

I think we could do better though.

If he can play right back as well as midfield he might be worth getting.
Either that or bring Janko back.

Have you seen the French man play?

That link Calgary posted doesn't have a video.

Obviously youtube videos can be inconclusive but Rajkovic has been highly rated for a few years and has a vast amount of experience for someone at 21.

He'd probably be cheaper than an up and coming French player plying his trade in ligue 1 as well.

You buy cheap you buy twice.
I haven't seen him play but Calgary has, and he seems to rate him.
I didn't see anything in that video to thrill me.

In fairness he didn't actually say if he has seen a lot of him.

Some of our best buys over the years have been cheap so don't agree there. It's a lottery.

It's a bit weird for you to make those statements in your original post like 'he seems to have them' if you haven't even seen him, not even a 4 minute youtube video.

It's Venglos. He wouldn't know a player if one smacked him in the baws.

I don't think Calgary would have made that statement unless he had seen him.And the article on Thomas Didillon seemed to add some creedence to back it up.
I don't like lotteries, I like sure things, and the cheap buys have been pre Brendan, unless you are counting Gamboa.

I've only seen clips of him on youtube and a couple highlights of him on TV through coverage on my local sports channels. Great reflexes and speed. Looking into him more and more, the general sense is that he's as good a shot stopper as you'd want, but needs to tighten up his distribution. He's 20 and already an established #1 for a decent French league side. I think it'd be a great buy for us.

That being said, youtube could probably make Efe Ambrose look like VVD. I've happened to look further into this Didillon as he seems to highly rated by many, and it's backed up by his clips.

    He's #7 on this list.

Didnt we sign John Hartson because of him though?

I'm not trying to make you look bad mate or doubt that he is a good prospect.

I'm just trying to unravell the puzzle that is Doc Venglos' logic.
