    Golf is even worse than Tennis, I just plucked a random player who id say never really wins anything Bill Haas... $26,417,450 career earnings 6 tournament wins from 318 entered aged 34. That won't even include any sponsorship and all that.

    Hence why I said poorer imitation. The journeyman principle still holds, though, I imagine most of the less well-known darts names that tour the world are making more than what they'd be able to in whatever they'd be qualified to do in civilian life.

    The figures in tennis are substantial but at least you actually have to show up and do well, in golf you get * ending up with tour cards and the like, cushy spots on the senior tour when they're too old to cut it against the young bucks. It's a real money spinner of a sport given that it's not exactly known for mass participation along the lines of football, basketball etc.

    What a game of darts between Anderson and Chizzy. Brilliant stuff.

    Darts isn't exactly known as a mass participation sport? The same sport that's selling out arenas the length and breadth of the country?

    Your comparison is miles off, stupid to make in the first instance. There's darts players that will be earning your 30 and 40 grands a year. That doesn't happen in tennis.
