I agree 100%. We are as big as they get.
The SPL might not be the most skillful league in the world but it is competitive amd we are Scottish so it's where we belong.

A European league running concurrent with our own league is the way forward. Scrap the League Cup and let us compete with the cream of Europe and get Celtic in the big money bracket.

We lost to a great team by a single goal on each leg and have shown we can compete at that level. We don't have a Messi or Kaka or Ronaldiniho but we have some players who are doing well like Skippy and Boruc. All we need now is a few more class players and we'll be in with a real chance of progressing in the CL.

2008/09 will see us take it to the next level. Well done wee man. Yer doing us proud.

Everyone would rather be in the last 16 of the CPL no doubt about it and I am not trying to put a dampner on our great results against some of the worlds best sides at home.

I would ask you one question though if these games where played at a neutral venue do you think we would have had the same fine results.I know its an impossible question to ask. However given the amount of late goals we have scored in these games I believe without the fans roaring the team on we would never have achieved half of them.

Where I do agree with you is that money is the ruler with regards to the elite clubs. However their are a number of clubs who operate with less resource than ourselves and have enjoyed better results and perforemances away from their home grounds than we have enjoyed. This to me is not soley down to money it is coaching, organisation and structure that sadly for me is currently lacking at Celtic Park.

dont hold back tim! you're right though it is a bit patronising and if porto, a team from a small country, can win the CL why cant we?

How is that interview patronising? He was probably answering questions he was asked. It's not like he came out with a statement saying "down thick Celtic fan, down."

He would have been as weel doing so though.
He just says no one elses opinions matter other than his or his players, he's made it clear now and in the past that anyone who disagrees with him and is vocal about it is a Buckie drinking ned and theeir opinions dont matter.
