Great result and way to start a new League campaign. Only away to the Sheep would have been harder.
We didn't play that well to be honest, creating very little and Hearts having a lot of possession particularly in the second half.
Toure was immense at the back, he seemed to be there at every clearance, Brown was excellent, getting back to his best and hope its not his usual one off game. And credit to Griff, wasn't really in the game, feeding off scraps most of the game but to have the awareness than Sinclair was matching his run is just typical of the work rate he gives.
MOTM has to go to Brendan, not scared to make changes to the formation during a game and bringing on players at the right time. Excellent day to be a Tim !!

andy walker never was and never will be a celtic man , we were a wage to him nothing else and he,s savvy enough to know there is a place in tv and media for a former celtic player to lick hun scrotums .... no nice but the moneys good .

 

Less said about their subhuman fans the better.

Ok here is my two cents after watching that:

To win, after a gruelling Champions League game v Astana at Hearts is a fantastic result. Game was tight, tetchy and horrible to watch, and those are the games you must win to be champions. We did that and I'm pleased. But I'm not getting carried away.

Not to be negative nancy, but there is not one midfielder that started today, or Rogic when he came on, that I'm enamoured about. Brown, I think we can improve on that position now, a 'hard man' who does that have enough footballing ability will only hold us back; he resorts to fouling when things are not going his way. Armstrong? I don't understand what he gives to the team. McGregor is patchy at best. Forrest's legs are made of rivita, so never get excited about him. Rogic is a luxury player who can either turn it on or disappear.

That may seem harsh. But as has been proved- when Rodgers gets his own men in - like Toure, who was great, and Sinclair, Mr Dream Debut - things will come together.

In my eyes we controlled that game for about two minutes, and I'm pointing to central mid as the reason why.
