    We shouldn't be though. PL has told us we budget for the EL, not the CL. Therefore the CL is a bonus.

    There is something fundamentally wrong if we cannot spend more than usual, especially after at least £5m from the ICC and now the increased windfall from the CL and player sales.

    We haven't really spent anything yet though.

    Not like we've forked out 10m on transfer fees and people are still concerned.

    We surely have enough left back for a marquee signing, something to really excite the fans.

    Yeah i know i'm more supportive of the board than most, but * * 60 million this summer plus 6 million in player sales and that does not take into account the other 40k season ticket sales and shirt sales and sponsors ect that makes up the rest of the clubs income and so far we have spent 5 million....even for this lots that's looking rather tight.:icon_mrgreen:

    Maybe the 'expensive' players have said no :97:. I have yet to see any sign that Rodgers hasn't been fully supported by the board, yet already I see/read peoples guesstimates about fee's and wages and some even criticising the board already. Maybe just maybe we have went after and got the players BR wants.

    I hate when folk do this. They were spending ludicrous amounts of money which wasn't theirs to have.

    well it will work how its always worked...we will get who the manager wants so long as its within budget.

    there will be a list and we will work top to bottom depending on what happens with fee,wages and if the player is interested or not.

    I think its fair to expect a big signing this summer after the money they have taken in.

    rangurs are back so more income, CL money, more cash from sales and sell ons then buys. That would surely mean some money for more quality players(the signings we have done yet are a good beginning but we need a couple more).

    Of course we will continue to work that way mate, its a proven formula that has worked. Hopefully ,as the players will be BR's choice, they will be 'better' and they will be more likely to come here given the manager we now have.
    Out of interest, what is a 'big signing' ?
