    Good defenders should be able to defend against pacy wingers by their positioning. Hinkel is an experienced defender and was made to look very ordinary today at times. Great going forward, but must defend better.

    Hinkel made one absolutely key tackle right in front of Boruc that prevented an almost certain goal. He was caught out of position from time to time, but overall I think his performance was very good.

    True, got to remember though that he has had only 3 games really with us and hasnt been getting first team play with the other team he was way.

    Its good in a way but bad as well as the more goals he scores his price will go up.

    A fee will have been agreed for the potential signing.. Would be silly for us not to have that in writing and Im sure there is a contract that would only need to be signed to make it permanent. Papers say its around £2.5 to £3 million..

    great game i thought hinkel played well defended well and going forward looked very good.I thought donati and brown both had solid games much improved by donati and samaras was lookin very lively his shot deserved a goal,but man of the match mcgeady,for me the chap can do no wrong
