That's for public consumption. I don't believe in managers conducting their business through the media

Christie's shambolic, nervous performance immediately dismissing that as a positive.

He's obviously not going to slate the players in public after an already embarrassing defeat.

That doesn't make sense. A positive would have been Ambrose not starting.

Him gifting them the win is not a positive. And he'll probably start next week as well.

Just like we shouldn't have needed a return leg against Artmedia Bartislava? K then..

1 new player, that's it. The same * is there from last season, that's the problem.

Christie was dire. Not sure what people see in him. He might develop into a good player with the right coaching over the next few years, but at the minute he's not good enough to play in the Celtic first team.

The only positive i can see is that Brendan has witnessed the dross we have seen the last few seasons, but now they have embarrsed Brendan with that dross. His name is on that result.

I think he will become more ruthless now. Maybe this is the best time for this result to happen

How many starts has he had? Nervous, well obviously, as he's barely had a game for us. Him starting is a positive. If you think 1 game has defined his career, you sir, are mental.

Maybe, but it just feels like a right punch to the face to the fans.

We lost a game on a diabolical pitch, in roasting hot conditions, when our players weren't fully up to speed. The standard of opposition was very poor so yeah that makes the result not great but so *. We'll demolish them in the second leg then this result won't matter anymore.

Is it? You want him to conduct his business in the media for our amusement

I agree that no one should be turning on the manager; but at the same time he has to take his share of the blame. Some decisions (Roberts, Ambrose, Forrest, Bitton) tonight were absolutely baffling.

On top of that he's 100% got to have known, like everyone who's watched us for the last year, that we're absolutely crying out for a centre half and a left winger. Dembele will prove to be a great signing and credit to Rodgers for that, but tonight we found ourself with one of our shining lights of attack last season played out of position (Griffiths) and the other (Roberts) left on the bench. Centre back and left wing were more pressing issues to resolve.
