Yeah, cut the bickering. Sean has said he's done with the conversation, and I don't blame him.

    Back on topic.

    Aye right :smiley-laughing002:

A plaque has never been use as accurate historical source by mainstream historians with access to all sources and is a pathetically weak revisionist argument. Even as early as the '50s Raul Hilberg was taking about 1.1 million deaths at Auschwitz.

The fact the plaque was removed in 1991, after the fall of communism, tells you about the plaques historical accuracy. Historians in Eastern Europe didn't have as much access to * sources as their counterparts in the West, instead falling back on poor early Soviet reports. Once they got those sources the figures came down.

The numbers have changed because scholarship has become better over time. This generally happens with every episode of mass murder. Over time as historians get their hands on more information, the numbers become more accurate. This especially true of Soviet crimes, which during the Cold War claims went up to 60 million people but is now down around the 10 million mark.

The opening up of * records, improved information gathering, more solid eye witness testimonies and removal of anecdotal evidence, population censuses etc.

For example when the Soviets liberated Majdanek they tried to calculate the total killed by looking at the capacity of the camps crematoria. The thinking being that the death total more or less corresponded to the crematoria's capacity. The same thinking was used at first in Auschwitz.

Its not some political game as is being made out in this thread.

Seriously though, with all the problems they're now dealing with, the Labour party really need to come up with a solution to this whole thing. A final solution for that matter.

Someone says something against Israel and BAM, labour party in crisis. :smiley-laughing002:

Seriously though, its as though we live in a planet inhabited exclusively by kids who need their parents/media to tell them how to think.

Evidently so considering the over the top outrage that we've seen from these two incidents. :smiley-laughing002:

I thought it was only Americans who were bad for defending Israel without any thought process to it whatsoever.

Israel is/was very much a British creation/experiment, the charade goes on only with the help of the prestitute media.

My google translate come up with, 'Anti loads and here come the Jews'.

Not sure how to interpret that.
