The problem for me today was, with Falkirk playing 5 across midfield, you are automatically bullied in the centre of the park.

What you need in that instance is to close the gap between your back 4 and your central midfield 2.

McManus, as centre half and captain, should have pushed the back 4 out, but instead had them playing too deep, allowing Falkirk's midfield too much room in behind our midfield.

It also shut McGeady and Nakamura out the game as they were on the back foot.

well said. Its pure insanity to highlight Gary in this shocking game. He was far from our worst. Naylor, Aidan, Naka, JVOH and Hartley were in far poorer form.

I don't want to start aguing with anyone as there's eno of that going on.
I just know my team is going to the dogs and while I think each of the culprits should take responsibility for their own poor performances I ultimately blame Strachen whom in my opinion isn't up to the job.

how much do you reckon an England international striker like Sutton (arguably the best target man type player in the world) who had been head hunted by Chelsea a year earlier would cost today. Surely over 10 million. We wont be able to buy on that level for the foreseable future (prob as long as we are an SPL team). We are back to the pre-Burns financial situation again in terms of RELATIVE wealth. Need to get used to it. Real quality will now only come from youth.

We are not as poor as we were pre-Burns.

If anything we are in a similar situation to TB's tenure.

I dont think it fair to blame WGS for everything! * sake the players hes singed have talent they just dont show it enough...
the players need to take the responsibility for these poor performances i mean they get all the credit when we play well!!! Every manager gets criticized but the * Gordon has to deal with is unreal... the fact is our squad s thin and dosent have enough quality in it but WGS will sort that out soon enough it takes time lads.
In my opinion id love to sign Barry Robson caus our midfield has no drive or determination i think we could go the rest of the season without a new center half (i wouldn't spend any money maybe a short term loan deal for some one) but we desperately need a striker big jan is shocking he done nothing today same for donati and Scott Brown is just a young Tommy Gravesen (headless chicken at times)

are you on drugs? caldwell was agian our worst player, if it hadnt been for shocking refereeing he would have cost us the game, like i said before no one played well, but to say that mcgeady, naka, and naylor were worse? u are mental, put yourself in the teams shoes, they go out to a vital game, and caldwell is in defense along with hartley, i for one would be very concerned about falkirk even going near the 2 of them, that in turn affects your performance, caldwell punts the ball up front everytime he gets it, what happens? it ends up back with falkirk in midfield, and they swamp brown and donatti 5 against 2,

i can assure you part of the team talk would have been centered on getting at caldwell, and down the wing against hartley, the 2 weknesses in the team today

Keltoi when are you going to give up this angle, we've got far more resources than anyone else in scotland so we should be better, right.

every bit of * strachan has to deal with is his own doing and i think its been into in enough detail the reasons why, so you think gravesons as good as scott brown do you? and barry robson will make us a better team? mental, ill tell you what, we will get robson and * waste away on the bench, either that or * be played and weaken the team, strachan signs squad players, we dont need squad players, id rather see our kids come through the ranks and be there as cover, the reason our team has no drive is there is no confidence in the whole of the team, and that lays at strachans door, he is a dreadful manager and we need rid

The handball happened, it was hardly a deliberate attempt to play the ball. I'll accept his hand was in an unnatural position but it was more ball to hand than hand to ball. McManus had an iffy handball in the second half but it's Mick so that's ok. Donati tripped someone in the box but he's not Caldwell so that's ok. I mean look around the team, Hartley was * so it's Caldwell's fault he has no confidence. Naka was * so that's Caldwell fault for knocking the ball long. The forwards were *, no doubt because Caldwell needed cover at the back.

Celtic were crap today but there is no need to turn it into a Caldwell witchhunt.

Its not Caldwell's fault its GS's for selecting him ahead of O'dae, he's simply not good enough.

another wee side note from today about strachan.

he was asked today how long hinkel would be out for. his response "dont know"

of course he * knows. he's the manager, its his job to know. the medical staff will have diagnosed his injury and told the manager roughly how long it will be.

he said "dont know" because he thinks he's smart and doesnt wanna tell the press. well by not telling the press he doesnt tell us and i for one as a paying season ticket holder would like to * know :31:

So O'Dea plays instead of Caldwell, how does that change the game?

Maybe he genuinely didn't know. You can't put an exact time for recovery.

Does it not occur to you that perhaps the medical staff said they don't know how long he will be out for.

Look m8 if you think Caldwell is good enough for Celtic then fine, i don't. As an auxiliary squad player maybe.
As for O'dae any time i've seen him at CH he's looked quality.

are you just on here for an argument or are you really that slow? odea plays instead of caldwell, the whole team gets a lift, they drop hartley and play a proper right back, the whole team gets a lift, mick plays the ball out of defence everytime, so will odea, that autromatically brings the midfield into the game, and thats where our strenght lies, the minute the confidence returns to the side, and we start playing on the deck as a team, then well see the real celtic, its not difficult to seee how to put it right

i can honestly put my hand on my heart and say, i cannot remember strachan playing our strongest team since the dark day he appeared at our door, hes got a major attitude problem and a massive chip on his shoulder, and he needs to * off and take it with him
