tiredness is no excuse, they are all professional footballers, they artent playing well, because, they have no faith in themselves, they can all see that theres certain players that shouldnt be playing yet they keep getting a game, you watch the difference in mcmanus when kennedy, odea, or even bobe plays beside him, you watch brown when everyone round him plays at thje top of there game, it all boils down to strachan buying and playing inferior players, there is no confidence in that team whatsoever, it wouldnt take an obsene amount of money to put the team right, one * hot striker to play alongside mcdonald, a strong defender alongside mcmanus and for either donatti to come onto his game or a good solid holding midfielder beside brown

The problem is teams have sussed us out. I've been saying for months now that Celtic can't play against a five man midfield. It leaves the two men in the middle too exposed.

If we are going to play 4-4-2 then we need our full backs to get further forward and our wide men to tuck in one. That is why we are * because we are being overun in the middle. After signing Hinkle he won't change it so it's going to be up to the full backs. The signs are good regarding Hinkel as he likes to play well up the park.

I think Strachan sees this and tries to do something about it but is hindered by injuries. I think this why he is looking for a left back who will play further forward.

I see Caldwell is getting the blame from some quarters. Why don't they watch the game and see that if wasn't for him and Mick today we would have lost.

the worst partnership this season (I am sure the stats strongly bare this out) is Mick-JFK. They are atrocious together.

see what i mean? now i never miss call mcmanus, but down to his lack of confidence, mostly due to his partner, he didnt play well, thats no reflection on him, the whole team played shocking, but to say caldwell played well, he never put a foot right, strachan will not admit when he is wrong and its costing us dear, he knows who he shouldnt play, but he plays them for spite, because hes the manager and he picks the team not us

i seem to remember him dropping scott mcdonald a few months back, and everyone knew that it was a mistake, next game he scored a hat trick, i told the boys exactly what would be said to the media and i was spot on, rather than praise mcdonald, when asked by the reporter about skippys performance, he said, i though killen was amazing and without him mcdonald wouldnt have had any today, what a *, you see my point?

Dreadful. one of the most embarrassing performances i have seen from a celtic team in my life. with the exception of the goal we did not have one othewr shot on goal throughout the entire game until that big useless * hit the post in the last minute.

the manager simply cannot motivate the players to go out and perform to the required level but then again the majority of them do not have the ability to perform to the required level. all players that he signed.

we might only be 4 points behind but i think its time we realise there is a real strong possibility that the huns will win the league :54:

great post. perfect level headed analysis:50::50: The problem if we matched their 4-5-1 is that that automaically pushes the game twards a 0-0. This is how CL teams feel against us.

so mick and kennedy were the only players playing in these games then? this was our strongest teams in the games? exactly, so let me get this straight, what your saying is you would rather have caldwell in the team than kennedy? think very carefully

I am not anti-WGS in the sense of sack him straight away however, I do believe that the current state of affairs must be laid mainly on his doorstep.

Our starting XI today contained 9 current internationals for teams who are not too shabby(with the other 2 only being U-21s for England & Italy). Whether these are not "Celtic class" or not they are definetely good enough players to beat most (if not all) SPL teams with the right tactics, attitude etc.

Any manager worth his salt should be able to get a team containing this talent playing to a higher level than we are at the moment. I really hope WGS is able to turn this around.

I give up. The whole team were off form but gary (who aloing with Mick, Artur and Donati were the only pass marks) gets picked out. Total whipping boy. I thought Gary's distribution was poor but so was everyones and he did defend solid.

    pish freebies

When you bring in players from Hibs and Hearts for * all or next to * all this is what you get . Guys like Caldwell , Killen ,Riordan , Hartley and Pressley were never top class players they should always be squad players . Caldwell , and Pressley were never great defenders before we signed them let alone now .
Its time we had men in our team instead of * who are * out of tackles .Time to stop the rot . We still pay season ticket prices from when we were watching Larsson , Sutton ,Hartson etc ,etc .

what game were you watching? everytime cladwell managed to win the ball, which wasnt often he gave it straight away to them, its the same in every game, hes *, and has no place at celtic, along with the longball tactics, were a football team, our way is to play the ball on the deck, all caldwell has done since he came, is lose posetion, give away fouls and goals and lower the whole teams morale,

Forget the sloppy passing as the whole team were guilty of that. Caldwell's contribution was good. Look at the number of times he cleared the ball when it came into the box, far more than Mick. I just thought that the two of them were solid defensively and nothing got passed them. For all their possession Falkirk had two shots on target. This was not down to an excellent midfield or fantastic full backs, so who should get the credit, Big Mick on his own? I don't think so.

there was something else that I could/should have been doing but instead I chose to watch the Falkirk game - oh boy! wrong decision! That was a pile of crap - it doesn't seem like the team remember how football should be played. The long ball forward has gotta change, we gotta start playing the triangular football that carves teams apart. I don't want to make this a "Strachan must go" comment but if that is the end result of Rangers winning the league then maybe we should prepare for a summer of Govan ascendancy. Awful, awful, awful!

i think the only way out of this rut, is to sack strachan and give the team to burns, full time, he wasnt given a fair chance the first time, and he had us playing the best football ive ever seen in this country, what he has got going for him this time is he will inherit a team full of winners, and more than enough flair, and if you could talk to him today i will garauntee you he knows who needs to go and hes one of us and wont mess around in weeding them out
