Wish I could tuck Paddy into bed every night.

    Make sure he's safe.

Make the Scottish media think he misses Hapoel Beer Sheva games, they create usual panic, fooling everyone, only Rodgers knows Roberts is more than certain to play? This is more important than Hearts (Today), Motherwell (Wednesday) and Inter on the 13th yeah?
It is a UNREAL important game. Keep Paddy fit indoors @ Lennoxtown, then throw him and Sinclair at Beer Sheva at home and plough the game to a finish in the 1st leg?
Possible Rodgers could be using the Scottish media here? £20M game at play here, we need every and all advantages as possible.

    Thoughts?
Rodgers smiled [ish, hard to tell :56:] telling the Scottish idiot media wee Paddy 'IS A RISK'
Is this what the very top managers do? Rodgers never is downbeat at injuries, never panics. CLASS ACT MANAGER

Can't see it. At best it'd be the 2nd leg, and since that's away in Israel, where it's likely to be mid 30's on a pitch that could well be like concrete, i can't see the club risking/being allowed to risk him. Hope I'm wrong, but i think this is just psychology on JKs part

Just need to wait and see. It wasn't a tear after all so not as bad.

If the risk wasn't as big for the home leg we have to take it, IMO.

    I dont think we will.

Its the same as what Boyata had against Sevco, then after that game he sat out about 4 weeks before joining the Belgian squad where he proceeded to do the hamstring in training and has been goosed since, when had he not joined up with them and risked it he would have been fine this season, instead it's almost mid August and he hasn't played for 3+ month.

Wouldnt want Roberts ending up out ages over 1 game.

That is why I said if the risk isn't as great though.

If he is deemed to have at least a decent chance of playing I'd take it. It is a game which could potentially decide our season.

Patrick Roberts could be the difference between Champions League football or not should be play in Israel.

His showing in Astana should remove any doubt his ability to take us 50 and 60 yards up the pitch at a time is absolutely invaluable.

I think he'll be back for the first leg and if not, definitely the second. Hamstring strains can sort themselves out fairly quickly. Although having said that, they are easy enough to aggravate so if he feels it at all then he should give the first leg a miss.

I'm a bit concerned Forrest is going to take his place even when Roberts comes back fit.

Let's just say Forrest plays very well next couple games before first leg, but then Roberts declares himself fully fit and ready for the tie, what does Brendan do?

For me, no matter how good Forrest has been he is nowhere the effective player Roberts is, it's also I feel better to have players on each side who are able to cut onto their stronger foot, i.e Sinclair on the left and Roberts on the right.

I've a feeling though if Forrest keeps playing well then he'll sadly keep Roberts out the team even when he's back fit as, how can you drop an in form player?

I hope I am being stupid and you're right.

Choosing Forrest over Roberts when both are fit down that right hand side would be a joke.
