It's clear as day what is happening... He can't drop griff and wants to go with a 4-4-3 dembele is his signing and griff is our top goal scorer last year. He can't drop griff so puts him on the right...

Forrest came on because he still had griff on the right and dembele. He didn't change the formation till dembele came off for ciftci and moved Armstrong to the right hand side of an4-4-2 so Hes not going to change Roberts for two guys he's just brought on

Where Roberts goes from this I'll never know unless Rodgers drops his 4-3-3 if he doesn't he will need to acomidate him on the left

Rodgers claims to be flexible in terms of formations. Now is the time to prove it.

Guy has to play. Has to.

It's a bit disappointing if he did retweet that. Regardless of his frustrations, it's pretty unprofessional.

In saying that, I completely agree with what was said. It must be infuriating when you're desperate to play, yet you're left on the bench while someone like Forrest, who seemingly can't be arsed, gets the nod ahead of you. I'm sure Rodgers has his reasons, and maybe there's stuff going on in training that we aren't ware of, but it just seems like a really bizarre decision.

Personally, I think he needs to be starting on the right next week. Although it's still early days, I'm not convinced by this Dembele up front/Griffiths on the right combination. Griffiths, although he tries his best, isn't suited to playing on the wings. Not only are his own talents going to waste, but he's essentially taking the place of a more effective player in that position. I understand why we're trying it out, but I think it's going to have to be a case of one or the other in regards to Dembele/Griffiths.

  5. Anyone else heard Roberts has been involved in and doing a few things he shouldn't be for a professional player??

He'd be an automatic starter for me, hopefully Rodgers can find a way to fit him into his system

There seems to be a lot of * going around regarding him.

I'd put it down to folk like HoopsManBrian and all of them on Twitter making stuff up to try and think of an explanation as to why he isn't playing.

He doesn't strike me as the * type.

If Roberts was fit on Tuesday then it is utterly bizarre that we had a £12million player sitting on the bench yet relied on a useless * like James Forrest when we were chasing the game. :97:

Not that i agree but maybe Rodgers has a mindset that actual Celtic players should start games over manchester city loanees or any other player that in the end will most likely never be ours, just a thought

Could be the manager didnt think we needed him to beat some plumbers and planned to use him for home game.....who knows.....squad rotation or some *.
Anyway...so long as its opened the managers eyes to some of the quality we have here i can live with it.

He's a good lad with a good head on his shoulders. He will be a regular this season, no doubt. :shamrock:
