We're in decent form defensively now. Only conceded 2 goals in our last 8 games, 1 of them when we were down to 10 men after a soft sending off and the other a soft penalty.

 

Rogic is your man for that, as well as Lustig made a few good overlapping runs and McGregor finding more space around him.

Needs to work on his final ball but he instantly improves the team. Commons should not be keeping this guy out the team.

 

Great form going in the cup game, he'll do damage against the huns, I'm sure.

 

Paddy Johnstone.

He'll go back to Manchester in a year, not fancy it and be back up here in a rowboat to entertain us for the next ten years.

 

Great little player. I was delighted when we signed him on an 18 month deal and this is why.

 

Either that or Southampton will buy him before he gets back to Manchester.

Told yous all weeks ago he is the type-a player who will put arses on seats, and leave defenders lying on their arses - exact quality required for us just now when excitement levels are low, he has raised the bar big time!

I must say I was skeptical when we first signed him because I didn't really see the point in developing other teams young players when we have our own, but I don't really see him as a potentially good player anymore, he's more of a good player now with the potential to be great. He elevates our team and gives us something we've been missing since the likes of McGeady and even McCourt.

 

Glad we've already got him for next season

 

Just hope Guardiola doesn't recall him!
