I think he was being generous. We are far weaker defensively than we were last year. van Dijk/Denayer or Boyata/Simunovic? I know what I'd rather have.

 

We're a team who is uncomfortable as anything passing from the back, the defenders havnt got the skill or brains to knock it about, teams know that pressurise then surprise surprise major * up

More or less the same as before but defence was better.

 

Nowhere near as bad as people are making out mate, a lot of positives to be taken from that.

 

You're judging it by players mate, we were just as weak defensively. We conceded an insane amount with them two their last year as well.

 

Only caught the second half, the decision making under pressure by our defence is shocking, constantly making the wrong pass, that's the thing that stood out for me. We looked ok going forward in glimpes
