The lack of competition things is bollocks from the hun media. FC Copenhagen and Rosenborg had their best times in Europe when they used to win the league with even less of an effort than us. Ronny fails to exploit the weakness of SPL to his favour. He doesn't rotate the squad, test players or give a chance to the youth. We need to play ever single SPL fixture with full strengh and the result is that when players need to be thrown in an european game we never know what is going to happen. Blackett * up, Tierney did well. He just takes his chances.

Actually, if Brown is still injured, Bitton and Johansen are suspended for the next match against Ajax. We might need to play Scott Allan in that game. Would be wise to have tested him against Ross County. But no.

Some good points here. The SPL is a pub league that is easy for us but we appear to have to be near full strength and full throttle to ensure we stay on top and don't get dragged into a scrap. Allan should've been used by now to see what he can do, he can't still be injured is he? McGregor, Stokes are players that can play SPL. Stokes seems to be out of the picture altogether, there's no good reason for that if he's still around he can be used for SPL games. Ciftci is good enough for SPL, but Griffiths seems to have to start every game.

Ronny Deila seems to be happy to win domestic competitions and blame lack of quality and depth for failure in Europe. We shouldn't come out of two games v Molde with no points and we shouldn't have went out to Malmo. Those results simply aren't good enough. Sacking a manager is always a gamble but Ronny Deila will not get us qualified for the CL next summer. Keeping him is a bigger gamble than sacking him.

I tend to agree with this....... though I can't 100% guarantee it. The thoughts of us going through getting a new manager before the end of the season... or even after, is definitely not a good thing going into the qualifiers. We need consistency with our team, system, management, players, etc.

Well we need it this year too. :bbpd:

Hopefully without losing one of our key CB's.

To be honest...... no, not at the moment.

But I'm/we're hoping that Simunovic, Boyata, etc will grow into being a part of a reasonably solid defence (i.e better than the beginning of this season).

The good news is Simunovic looks a player, the bad news is he is already looking injury prone, bad sign. Boyata I remain unconvinced about.Blackett is a non runner IMO.
My own guess is we should sign two centre backs worth their mettle in January.

I'd sign an experienced CB and 1 new winger/ 1 playmaker come January.

I'd say a striker as well but if we are out of Europe by then I wouldn't bother. The great striker debate will be wheeled out again come the summer:56:

Can't get over why he played in league cup.
He played 3 games in a week after coming back from injury.
Ronny acting like man who new into management and not a guy with nearly 10 years experience.

How so? He's never done it and never showed signs of doing it.

If anything, a new manager wouldn't do any worse...

Can we keep on buying players? Last season the manager said the squad is too big and it needs trimmed. I agree with you but where does he stop. Are we not due to be buying some more Dundee Utd players?

Because in europe we lack an established defender, we are still in all 4 competitions and are likely to win 3, which is better than what lennon had this far into it, and he was partially embedded into coaching us before he became manager so that is a lot more experience than ronny has, and so far at this stage imo ronny is doing better

To be fair, Lennon didn't inherit a great team. He had to compete with financial cheaters in the league.

We're only 'just' in 4 competitions. I'd be livid if we weren't favourites for the domestic titles since we out spend ever other club combined.

Ronny is making a right pigs ear of it. Hammered by clubs in Europe who could only dream of spending like Ronny has. His best attribute is his man management, apparently. Yet our team looks gutless.

He's a * imposter and whoever touted him for the job needs shot.

Because it was a must win game, and when you see who the other options are, he had to play in my opinion.

As are a lot in our team. The second half against Molde, the players never looked like they were trying a leg.

And we had to build on the partnership with Boyata and Jozo.
