Is Ronny still the man for Celtic?

Time for him to go I think. He looks like he's close to losing the respect of a big player in the squad and a huge chunk of the fans are on Commons' side.

I know a couple of these games were early in his time here but look at some European results over the last 14 months.

Celtic 1-6 Legia Warsaw (aggregate)
Celtic 1-2 Maribor (aggregate, after drawing 1-1 away)
Celtic 3-4 Malmo (aggregate, after being 2-0 up within 15 minutes and cruising)
Molde 3-1 Celtic

Plus the fact we struggled against Astra in both games, threw away leads against Ajax and Fenerbahce when we should have won. And Red Bull beat us 3-1 at Celtic Park.

All of those in about a year. That's abysmal.

 

we cant get a break cause our defence is * and letting in goals all over the place

johansen isnt the player he was last season i don't know why that is, he was better when commons wasnt in the side

maybe commons is too much of a maverick and johanssen can't build a football relationship with him

but the back line is killing us its poor as * and the controllers of the club dont seem to want to do anything about it

 

He wont. Izaguirre played against Ajax, got a silly sending off that costed us two points, got a pat in the back from Ronny and was actually complimented for what he did. Then Tierney played against Fenerbahce, did very well, and what happens? Izaguirre is back, plays his usual * and will probably be there next match too.

 

We got Boyata, Blackett, Janko and Jozo to replace VVD and Matthews. Who identified these replacements?

 

I never said we need a decent striker, we just needed a striker more than a CB and you're right, the team Deila has put together just isn't good enough

It's clear he and Collins between them have lost a good few players in the dressing room after tonight. Main 2 being Commons and Brown I'd say, and that can influence other players.

For the first time since he came my answer is no, he's not the man.

 

So the workman should not blame HIS tools

 

We can't give Deila to the end of the season, we have got the Champions League and Magic Hat coming back up.

We need a new management team in now to give us any chance.

 

This. It should be Commons or Johansen. Not both in Europe anyway.

 

Really liked him last season after a very poor start, thought happy days full pre season, few new signings- positive season ahead but after the last few months I have to go towards no. Im so disappointed to say it because I really backed him but I just cant see any improvement from last season and I would have to say someone like lambert I think could rejuvenate us.

 

No half decent European results to paper over the cracks like last season. Ice is very thin

 

Get rid, it's an overwhelming no to Ron on the poll.

This probably reflects the general feeling amoungst our fans. We will win the league without him so get someone else in before transfer window as it's the last chance to get players gelling before UCL qualifiers next year. Summer TW isn't enough time for a new manager.

 

I really like the guy and I wish it worked out because I love pretty much everything he says.

Im going to give the guy just a little slack with the defence.

When was the last time we had a injury free back 4 that had played more than 3 games together..?

Hopefully now with our new signing coming back into the side we will see a more settled defence in the coming weeks.

To late for the groups imo but we need a break with some of our defenders injuries.


But he HAS to start droping these guys who fail game after game,,,,even if it meant playing some kids.

 

I think tonight was nothing more than commons being rather * at being sub yet again while some others stay on the pitch.

I feel sometimes saying he is the best available is not the right way to go about things. It seems to me if a player knows he is the best available then he gets away with sub par performances.

Izzy let us down against Ajax. Tierney came in and done an admiral job. For me he should have kept his place in the team rather than the reverting to "the best available" at LB.

Same could be said for Johansen whom I think a short spell out of the team may actual see a much improved player when he would return.
