Artur Boruc last night admitted that despite signing a new contract at Parkhead, he could still leave the club if the right move were to materialise.
Celtic announced on Saturday night that the Poland internationalist had agreed a lucrative new three-and-a-half year deal, which will tie the goalkeeper to the club for the foreseeable future.
However, in an interview with homeland newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza, Boruc has indicated his new contract changes nothing and hinted that his reason for signing the extension was to ensure Celtic wouldn't lose out on a future large transfer fee.

But it does not change the terms of our agreement that if Celtic obtain a good price for me, they will allow me to leave.
"The amount that is necessary for a club to pay remains the same. I am rated at close to £10m, but that is not a question for me, it is for Celtic.
"I know that if an offer comes in that is good for Celtic and good for me, the club will not make any problems for me.
"So, anyway, I have signed the new contract in order that the champions of Scotland will profit from me."
Boruc, however, claimed yesterday he is happy with the finances of his new contract and also insisted he never had any intention of following Andy Webster and invoking Fifa Article 17 to try and prise himself from his original contract at Parkhead, which was due to expire next year.
"I have received no offers from other clubs, the only thing I know was what I have read in newspapers," said the Poland No.1.
"I did not want to burn my bridges with Celtic and I didn't want to use the law or use the Webster' rule to move.
"In terms of the financial aspect of my contract, I will only say I am very satisfied."
Asked if a move to Italy to join the Champions League holders would interest him, he would only reply: "Milan have a great team and it is a beautiful city with great weather."
It appears, however, that Milan have now moved their focus away from Boruc in their search for a new goalkeeper, following the player's decision to extend his stay at Parkhead.
The Italian media were last night linking the Serie A outfit with a move for Fiorentina's Sebastien Frey. Milan are reportedly about to make a part-exchange offer for the French goalkeeper with striker Alberto Gilardino moving in the other direction.

Its the same as the Petrov thing, at least hes done the decent thing and ensured that we can command a reasonable fee when/if he does go.

To be fair to the guy, despite all the times hes said he'd like to play elsewhere, hes always full of praise for Celtic and the support, and I dont think he'd do the dirty on us.

I thought this yesterday. It made perfect sence for celtic and boruc to sign the new deal. Now we will make a major profit for artur if he does leave. But who the * could replace him. Personally i think Boruc is in the top 5 Goal keepers in the world. Hope he stays, Hail Hail Artur

He has done what Petrov did for us, signed a new contract and if he gos for whatever price we get for him, hes done a good deed for the club and supporters, i really think he will be off in the summer witch i hope not but if he does stay longer i could only see him staying january 2009.

I see no problem with the terms of his deal, he's being paid for being one of the best keepers in Europe whilst contractually tied to Celtic giving us the upperhand in any transfer away from us.

If there's a £10 million get out clause we can live with that so thank you Artur.

He just signed a contract? Why would he do that if he was going to leave this year?

If a player's contract is about to expire then the selling club won't get much money by way of a transfer fee. But if the player is on a lengthy contract then the selling club can demand a big transfer fee because the buying club are buying out his contract.

    You have much to learn.
