We're tighter than 2 coats of paint. No chance we'd pay that unless it was some Brazillian attacking superstar who everyone would be running out to get the name of on their new top. Even then it's a bit of a stretch on reality.

I don't mind people thinking we paid tha, if he turns out good. Makes us look good.

However, if he turns out awful......

It's probably a cumulative figure: fee and wages. The press always bump it up aswell.

Could be what ILTC said aswell, both clubs bumping it up so they both get more in the end when they sell.

No way we have paid anything over £3m. :smiley-laughing002:

It'll be 3 million euros so about 2 million for us. About what we spend. No chance in * would we ever pay 8 million. Sounds like a "leak" so we can sell on high and they make good money too. Makes us look a bit more frightening in Europe though. "That teams been splashing 8 million a player must be decent let's aw * it and let celtic win"

Hi mate, thank you for the info., I also have details, from the other side, and by what I know it is not even close to what you wrote (especially the % od the fee). (my info is from the Club, not the press)

I hope you dont think that this post is written in a rude manner, I believe in what you have written. I am only curious how come that 2 sides have so different details (and whose club management is de facto lying).

You can PM me if you wish to answer in private. :50:

Plus, as far as Dinamo Zagreb side goes, management of the club were very eagger to make this contract in a whay that they would create a clear and writen on paper bond with Celtic to open possibilities to send players to Celtic and then from there to sell them to Premiership for a lot of money (exact words od Dinamo chairman). That is why the % on the next transfer fee is so big, and all others transfers Zagreb-Celtic (that will follow) will also be. Zagreb has the second best youngsters academy after Barcelona (by UEFA), and it is 16. club in the world by pure profit from transfers. 200 mil Euros in the chairman Mamic era. (Modric, Kovacic, Mandzukic, Halilovic, Corluka, Eduardo, Lovren, Jedvaj...) And from that side it is pure Business with little regard for football and clubs needs.

As far as Celtic goes, I am not sure if getting talented youngsters from Zagreb is a good thing since they would be used to grow, "get a name" and then be sold to Premiership. Getting a talanted youngster and then selling him for lot of money is fine, (if you are not a super rich club) but not when you have to share half of the fee with someone. As far as young players go, growing home players is the way to go, and this contract with Jozo is more then contract for one player.

I doubt anything will come from the 'link' we link with clubs all the time and never use them.

It's probably just saying aye no bother, to get something out of the deal on our end.

I do hope I turns out that way, people leading Zagreb are scum and Celtic is the last club I want to see get * by them and money seeking greedy *.

Just to write one info off topic, every Zagreb player signs that he will give 50% of his football earnings to the rest of his career (no matter where he plays) to Zdravko Mamic (Modric, Mandzukic, Kovacic.. + 100). So that is all I have to say about that.

I just don't know about this one. Does the player really want to come to a Europa League team when his team is in the Champions League????

Maybe he's a lifelong Tim

My Croatian friend says it's all about the money for the brothers Mamic so they'll snap up our 3/4 million easy.

By all accounts he's nothing special, although at the age he is he can develop.

Ach, at least it's another defender......

It is truth then. Zdravko Mamić found himself another feeder club for his money laundry.
    Welcome to familia Celtic fans.

Only former Arsenal player Eduardo da Silva had guts to refuse paying this usury.
    http://www.jutarnji.hr/mamic-izgubi...ijom-od-20-posto-proglasen-nistavnim/1155810/

He won in court and finally he is a free man.
It is quite sad how players playing for Madrid, Bayern, Juventus, Liverpool etc. are still in hands of this man.
They should man up like Eduardo .

    :D

Like they have a choice to choose. They do not.

The "5m" fee I would say is being fed to the media by our own club to take the heat off them being a bunch of bumbling * ups who should have backed Lennon properly after Karagandy.

They do have previous for this craic as well. Derk was widely quoted as being 3m. I even seen this figure mentioned very recently. Lennons quote and a look at the accounts confirms this as rubbish. Also the "4m" fee for Juarez. Aye howl on. They must think we are idiots, I honestly woundnt be surprised if they refer to us as marks.

Bit worried there's been no movement on this in the past few hours. Hopefully we can get it done because it doesn't look like we're going to get anyone else.
