It was effective no doubt about it. I like to win I dont care how we do it. I'd go with Jackie Charltons tactics tonight if I thought it would get the best out of our squad. There is no "right" way to play the game. You do what works for your team. Ideally I would like to see us blow teams away playing it on the deck but who cares?

It was effective some games, and not in others. Like away in Amsterdam, against an average Ajax team. Benfica away was another when we tried to play very little football, and looked to go long too often. You are forever harping on about Deila's formation being too predictable, well our game plan in Europe was getting very predictable with Samaras in the team.

I'm pretty confident of a positive result tonight.............................only if Ambrose doesn't go anywhere near the pitch !!!

Yeah so if we sign him we can give ourselves the option. I do think we did rely on the Samaras out ball too much as well but it worked. If we had him in the squad then we would have the option to use him or not.

We need pace on the counter, there's no point playing Commons out wide as he doesn't have the pace or work rate, or in midfield. Forrest is quite bad at tracking back so imagine having him and Commons on the wings, Johansen is wasted out wide.

    well thank * for that

    My team would be:

    Please no Ambrose
    Please no Boyata
    Please no Johansen
    Please no Shifty
    Please no Izzy
    Please no Stokes

.... and the rest, whatever. We'll get beat anyway, and the manager is on a hiding to nothing at the moment. Latest: 'judge me in April' - Ronny, you're fooling NO-ONE now, mate. Always asking to be judged a year from now, six months... now, 'sack me if we don't win the SPFL'. The empty bottle of water on my work table could win the SPFL.

Get on with it Lawell, one more heavy Euro loss coupled with any kinda dip in the SPFL, and i want the gun to be dusted.

Aye I'm totally buzzing even though I think it would be one of our biggest results in years if we pulled it off. It would feel like it anyway!

Same as others have said, as long as the team play with all their heart and soul I'll still applaud them no matter the result.

I tell ye though that * UCL doesn't half make Tuesdays and Wednesdays a bit boring when we're not in it, whole week has dragged on till today, can't wait, come on the Mighty Celtic get stuck right into them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :celt_2:

The closer this gets, the more confident I've become, although, I do have a history of mental problems.

Mon lads, roll up the sleeves, fingers oot arses, helmets exposed ......lets give these * a game they wont forget in a hurry.

Same, though I was feeling more confident going into the Malmo away game :smiley-laughing002: The team and Ronny know they need to get a result tonight to get going again, fully believe they can.

no thanks. I believe it's a point to make that Ronny doesn't know his best team.

Also, where is this 5.5 million signing? Will he start?
