It would be a gamble. He was fantastic a couple of years ago but seems to have lost it recently.

Few players have risen to prominently at such a late stage in their development, only to crash down again so quickly. Crazy. I'd give him a chance.

What the * happened to him, quite weird actually.

If he found his form from few year back I'd love him here.

He's been unfortunate with injuries this past 2 seasons, but if he could get his form of 2012/13 back then he'd be well worth a look at on loan. I wonder what wages we'd have to cover?!

Only thing is, I'd see him more as part of a 2 upfront system or in the hole. Not sure where he'd fit in. He's a big lad though so maybe he could play the lone striker?!

Would be a brilliant signing. I reckon there's some behind the scenes reason to why he hasn't been good since 2013.

I wouldnt take him, he had a good season in Spain, went to Swansea and had a good season then thought he was the bees knees, obviously all the hype got to him and he fell apart. I imagine he is a "Torres" now, done and not coming back.

Torres dip in firm was due to injuries. This is a true story. I spoke to a top physio about a month before Torres went to Chelsea. The guy said he had worked with some of the top players in England from Shearer to Michael Owen. He said "between me and you Torres is finished at the top level" Then he said " He will still score goals but the days when he is just a yard ahead of the last defender are gone" After he signed for Chelsea I thought he was full of *. It seems now he was telling the truth!

Just had a look at his profile on transfermark, he got a couple of injuries in 2013 then never seemed to get back into the squad after that. Then went on loan to Napoli last year but spent most of the season injured again.
Probably more down to bad luck with injuries than lack of form, but the injury record would also be a cause for concern.

Im sure he fell out with Swansea in 2013 though and their fans turned on him and thought he was a *. I think he was linked with Arsenal and wanted to leave them but they never sold him.

Could be wrong and made all that up but I recall thinking he was an *.

Actually, I do recall him being linked with Arsenal and trying to push it through. Obviously not going to go down well with the fans.

Maybe he is a little more grounded now and can use Celtic as a club where he can prove himself again. :icon_mrgreen:

Just had a little look on the Swansea forum.

Greedy * who refuses/refused to turn up to training on one/multiple occasions (I'm not sure).

Apparently Michu wants Swansea to pay him £1m to cancel his contract. They say he's on £40k a week.

Aye, something has happened between somewhere as the manager publicly flat out said the other day that it would be best if he found a club as he'll never play under him again :56:

By the way, I rate him..

Only ever had 2 good goal scoring seasons in his career. He obviously has some talent there but I'd rather we set our sights on someone else.

As far as I know, Laudrup (or was it Rodgers) converted him to a striker when he signed him for Swansea. He was more of an attacking midfielder before that.

Hmmm, interesting. I'm possibly up for this, although if it's true his attitude, re: training etc, stinks then probably not...lol
