Just because we are looking to sign him doesn't mean we aren't actively pursuing a LB or a striker or whatever. That will probably depend on whether or not we qualify for the CL.

You've misunderstood what I was getting at completely. What is "Celtic class" in regards to a player? Larsson? Moravcik? Ibrahimovic?

We are operating at a certain level now in the transfer market. Players like Armstrong, GMS etc would not have been considered "Celtic class" by many not to long ago I'm sure either.

It's a cringeworthy phrase.

Also, of course I know we are the best in Scotland. What has that got to do with what I asked you? Nothing.

Been too busy the last few days to keep up with all this, Impossible to keep up with this thread as well.

Quick Google search as well and can't find out if this boy is signing or not. Surely if he's had a medical today it should have been announced by now. So whats going on?

I the player who had one good season in the championship, I can see why a few heads might of been turned to him in Scotland but the fact he is dirt cheap and doesn't have many other clubs bar Rankjurs and Rotherham looking at him tells me the story I need to know, the lad once was considered a big prospect and his career fell short by an absolute mile being loaned around and finally winding up back in Scotland in the championship were I think personally he found his level, he is not Celtic class and he is not better or near the qualitt we have in midfield so I think personally its a waste, and being around and chatting to Celtic fans daily I get the impression that people are more happy with the fact we have beat rangers to his signature than the fact we have signed a good player, we should be spending time replacing and getting cover in the area's we need like LB so we can actually have some European ambition this season.

Initially I was thinking, What? Now I'm thinking it would be great piece of business. We sell McGeough who is just filling space - no good for him or us. We give young Henderson an opportunity to learn from a highly rated young Coach AND more importantly, get 1st Team experience. Then the other way (in) we get a young player who has shown a bit for under, a reported, £300k. If he makes it we're quids in. If he doesn't we're still quids in with a sell on to someone else AND we get young Henderson back.

It's Win/Win for us.

larsson left because there was no ambition to build on the seville team, its been downhill since then and you are kidding yourself on if you think those running the clubs ambition is any higher than making it to the group stage spending as little as they possibly can

If you think we can realistically get into the champions league final within 5 years while english clubs get billions pumped into them a year, Spain has the 2 best players in the world and Germany has the best manager in the world, while we if we were planning on winning the big cup any time soon we would have to spend the equivalent to those clubs, effectively turning into huns mk II before the next season begins, if you believe what you just wrote then you are deluded as *
