Not saw enough of this guy to say if he will be a good signing but Ronny obviously does,as for him being a hun,as long as he does his best for us I couldn't care less who he supported as a child.

    Taken from another forum

"Unlike many other Celts,I cannot claim that Celtic was my first love... But I can say that it will be my last love" A quote from Jock Stein at a supporters night in 1955

Like I said earlier,if Allan gives 100% he has my backing. Hail Hail

    - we're not 'carting off' our home prospects. We're getting rid of deadwood (McGeouch) and sending Henderson out on loan to get valuable experience. If we didn't want Henderson to go there on loan as part of this deal, he'd be staying here.

    - Stokes is not part of the deal

    - he may be the same age as Virgil and Stefan, but plenty of players take longer to develop and hit their peak. Some players might be quality first team players at 19 (Matthews was), some players take until they're 24/25 to get themselves going and then hit their peak possibly into their 30s.

There's a myth surrounding player ages that Really annoys me. Many people would say a winger would enter his prime at around 25 when he's full of energy and has no fear and all the rest.. But look at Ashley Young for example. 30 years old and playing the best football of his career. Scott Brown too.

    - One last thing. There's no way he'll be on 7-10k. He'll be on around 3-4.

The championship player of the year last year went missing for 60 minutes every game?

There's stupid, there's Nacho Novo - and then there's this post.

He can pick a pass for one thing and is creative.

Something that we seriously lack at times.

Not seeing a huge problem with this. He's young and, if nothing else, will challenge the players currently in his position. He's a good depth signing basically. Also, with Henderson, people are acting as if he went to Rosenborg and led them to their current position. He was good off the bench but if he's not getting 90 there then he's surely not getting them here. Hibs will be a club in a similar position to us and he'll learn how to be expected to beat the opposition.

Decent, low risk signing in my opinion.

If it doesn't work out, we can say it was 'only' £275k.

    Definitely low risk.

McGeouch was never going to have a future here anyway, and getting Henderson some regular game time at a decent sized Scottish club is never going to be a bad thing.

His time at Hibs should improve him as a player and we will reap the rewards of that when he comes back to us.

Remove the name, clubs, friends, background to this whole story etc etc and it's a good signing. We back him, and get on with being who we are.

what im trying to get at is, if this whole saga was an exam question with team's x, y and z, league's 1 and 2, player a, and some stats and facts, then it would be perhaps be a different story, with some people, not all, but some.

    Celtic park, earlier this week;

    *knock knock*

Ronny: Pete, you in there? Just a quick chat about a player I've identified as a potential signing target?

    Pistol Pete: Erm, Okay.....

Ronny: You know the lad at Hibs? Scott Allan?

    Pete: Yeah?

Ronny: I thought we may as well go in for him?

Pete: Isn't he, like, 24 now? Failed to make an impact at the likes of MK Dons, West Brom, Birmingham, and was eventually released by West Brom for hee haw before coming back to play for Championship side Hibernian?

Ronny: Well, erm, yeah, but, well, ol' 6-pack has watched him a few times and in between taking sexy selfies on his phone he actually saw some of Allan's game and said he's decent? He must be if the mighty Glasgow Rangers are in for him, right?

Pete: Ron, you do know that Rangers went down the tubes back in....hold on, he was within Sevco's budget?

    Ronny: I guess so, yeah.

Pete: Well, why didn't you say so! **wipes his brow with a stack of fivers** Of course we can look to sign him! What they looking for? A couple of hundred grand and wee Dylan who washes the team bus?

Ronny: Apparently, yeah. He may be 24 and failed miserably down south, but I know he can....

Pete: Say no more Ronald! I'll get the check book! :50:

Interesting that Deila spoke previously about downsizing the squad, and is now bringing in another attacking midfielder when we already have Johansen, Armstrong, Commons, GMS, Forrest, Rogic and McGregor. Considering that Stokes mainly plays in midfield now as well, surely somebody is going to be sold?

I expect Allan will be behind Commons and Johansen in the pecking order.

On a par with Rogic and McGregor.

We r looking more and more like an SPFL/Scottish select. Remains to be seen if this will work. Not very inspiring or exciting.

He's better than Rogic and McGregor.

I'd actually expect McGregor to leave before the end of the window.

You are also factually incorrect as well , Pete has no idea what fivers are, the lowest denomination note he uses is fifties :86:
