Brazen Head good for pre-match drinks, 5 mins walk from your hotel. 5 mins across the bridge will take you up teh Saltmarket to Glasgow Cross, the start of the Celtic pubs on the way up the Gallowgate. There a handful of pubs to choose from all in close proximity to each other.
The Tollbooth then heading up Gallowgate you have The Saracen Head (Sarry Heid) Emerald Isle, Bar67 and Hoops. There's another few in the Barras area The Squirrell, Traders and Lynches. The last 2 heading up the Gallowgate are the Weemans and The Drovers leaving a 20 minish walk up to CP. There will be plenty of folk heading up to CP this route.

I was wandering about Glasgow with one of those Easter Rising scarves when i went to the last game of the season. Not one bit of abuse the entire day which surprised me. As a * I was incredibly dissapointed.

A TAXI driver has been banned from the road following allegations he asked female passengers to urinate in the back of his cab.
The 55-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had his licence withdrawn by Glasgow City Council licensing chiefs after a complaint from Police Scotland.
It is claimed by the police that in April the man picked up a female passenger in the early hours on the city’s Queen Street before driving her to an unknown destination.
It is alleged he told her he would waive the fare if she relieved herself in the black taxi.
The passenger is said to have refused and later reported the incident to Police Scotland.
The force then claimed in late June, again in the early hours, he picked up a lone female outside a licensed premises in the Glasgow’s Virginia Street where he is then alleged to have driven her to an unknown location and offered a free fare if she urinated in the taxi.
Again, the passenger refused and was dropped off in the city centre.
She too made a complaint to the police.
He has since been reported to the procurator fiscal under sections four and seven of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009 in relation to both incidents.
No trial date has yet been set.
Police Scotland had requested the immediate suspension of his licence last month, with yesterday’s meeting to decide how long this should be extended, if at all.
As part of his bail conditions he is now prevented from driving a taxi or private hire car.
During the licensing committee hearing the driver said he would be pleading not guilty and had asked that his licence be suspended only for a further four weeks.
He said he mainly worked night shifts as his wife was pregnant and needed his assistance at home during day time hours. He claims to have been a cab driver for 20 years and had never been in trouble.

Was up earlier this year and used a few taxis with no bother at all.In fact, the drivers we had were really sound and we were surprised how cheap they were.
One guy who took us up to Celtic Park used to be a steward for Celtic and told us a couple of stories of big European nights he'd worked. He also pointed out places he recommended to go on the Saturday night round the Gallowgate.
Maybe we were just really lucky but I can't fault the taxis at all
