Played well today, worked hard and didn't hide

 

Much more like it. Would be a fans favourite if he'd put in this level of effort throughout his Celtic career.

 

This is the real James Forrest. No coincidence he plays better away from the home groaners.

If only he could play the way he did today week in week out then the bhoy would be a legend

 

I think this just goes to show that bringing in quality players that challenge for the first team squad right away can not be underestimated.

If we are bring in squad fillers then parts of the team lose a bit of fire to get going as there is no real competition for places, today looked as though he had a bit of a wake up call by seeing these players brought in and if he doesn't shape up quick then he will find himself out the door.

Heres hoping for a big season from him.

 

He absolutely looks like a player who wants to be here. I suspect Rodgers has had a right good chat with him and told him the door was in a particular direction for him to walk out of should he choose to.

He is showing true CHARACTER, and I for one applaud him for it. If he continues like this, then I am willing to forget the last two seasons gone by.

If you look at the comments in this thread from the first half of last season a lot of people were agreeing he was our best player, then he fell away in the second half of the season probably due to contract negotiations breaking down.

I really hope he signs a new contract. Sinclair, Roberts and Forrest battling it out for two places. Perfect.

 

Never doubted his talent but he needs to put in that level of effort in to every game. Hopefully he can push on for the rest of the season putting in more consistent performances like that.

 

He had a really good game and seemed to be playing with a bit of belief which is great to see....well done and I hope he's back because he wasn't looking very good under RD at all...BR may just have sparked a resurgence of the talent we knew 2/3 years ago.

Played an absolute blinder today

 

I am a fierce critic of James Forrest, however I have to say that his contribution today is the best I have seen from him for years. In parts of the game he was wonderful to watch in full flow making clever passes and moving very well

Still wanting rid of him though tbh, this is James Forrest all over plays MOTM one week then has a below average run of about 4 games. Rinse and repeat.

Having said that he was superb today!

Where has he been hiding for the last few seasons? Much better again today, has he realised that he can actually be a player if he applies himself? Not being a shitebag and working for the team, the difference Rodgers has already made is brilliant.
