Absolutely dire. Incapable when on the ball and hides when he's off it.

One of the great mysteries why he's still in the team. Especially he was poor in preseason as well.

First thing he did when he came on was jump out of a tackle...

Why are we even giving this guy another chance? Even if he somehow comes good, the message it sends out is it's fine to be total * for over a year as long as you come good eventually.

Make a statement Rodgers and tell these guys they're out.

Completely baffled to see him come on ahead of Roberts tonight.

He hasn't progressed since he broke into the team 47 years ago, but still living on the idea that he's a young player with potential if only he could get clear of injuries and put together a run in the team. It's a load of bollocks.

I honestly wish we would just release him.

He has one of the worst attitudes and work ethic I've ever seen from Celtic player. For someone who only played about 30 minutes at most, I actually lost count of the number of times he faffed about with his hair or just sauntered about doing the square root of hee haw.

Are we seriously going to keep him around until December in the hope that we see one of his once in a blue moon decent performances? What's the point? He wouldn't sign a new contract, doesn't bother his * 99% of the time and we're still giving him game time. If he at least had the decency to actually try, I wouldn't mind him hanging around and getting the odd run out to help put himself in the shop window, but he doesn't.

Why on earth is he getting a game ahead of Roberts? Loan player or not, Roberts has been one of the few bright spots of the past six or so months. Even when he has a bad game, he never stops trying. That's the sort of attitude we need in our team, not one like Forrest's.

    Bang on.

Seen loads of Man City fans baffled at Roberts not getting on. No wonder.

    It's completely bizarre.

Fair enough, Forrest might have a bit more experience with CL Qualifiers, but I'd argue the stuff I mentioned in my last post largely negates that. I mean we've got one of England's most exciting young prospects on loan, who withdrew himself from his international duties so he could play a role in these qualifiers and what happens? The manager decides to play someone who doesn't want to be here and contributes next to nothing most of the time.

I know it's only the first competitive game of the season, so I don't want to sound too knee *, but I really hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

His experience matters little mate in a game like that.

Roberts was exactly what we needed out there. Genuinely think Rodgers is still thinking this is the James Forrest from 5 or 6 year ago when he was 19 or so. :56: He's 25 now, rejected a new contract after we stuck with him through all his pish, and brings nothing.

Ambrose and now Forrest. That's two players I've seen people want released, not even sold.

Moustache pointing out him fixing his hair shows where his focus is, certainly not on the * park. Get rid of him as soon as possible.
