Have there ever been any moments when you've just had to applaud (probably not literally :smiley-laughing002:) a moment of genius from an opposition player at Celtic Park?

The one that sticks out for me is Del Piero's freekick in the 4-3 game against Juventus. It was sublime.

That St Johnstone screamer this year, came out of nowhere and was a complete belter.

Messi's 2 goals against us at Parkhead in the Last 16, just a player who was so much better than us. Riquelme's full game, his link up with Sonny Anderson.

Riquelme and Villarreal were tremendous that night.

Kaka against us in the CL group stages last season, his performance was insane, really reeled back the years

Aye, that was my first really bad experience while following Celtic. What a piece of skill, though.

Always remember a Kilmarnock I think player scoring against us maybe 10-14 year ago at Celtic Park from about 30 yards and clapping him, always thought it was Danny Invincible but cant seem to find anything about it.

I remember the stunned silence that followed Riordan's goal against us in Lennon's first season.

Chip against Forster? That was pretty insane that.

I seem to remember something like that too. Pretty sure we were 5-0 up and someone scored a stunner for them and people were just clapping. Think it was a former Celtic youth player that didn't make it here?

Another one was PSG in 95. Patrice Loko scored a double. Rai and Djorkaeff pulled the strings in midfield.Although we had John Hughes at centre half and Gordon Marshall in goals.

I havent really got a clue who or possibly what team although im 70% sure it was Kilmarnock.

Although as im thinking it in my head it was scored into the Celtic end as back then I sat in the Lisbon Lions and I recall it as being scored at the other end which would about 95% mean it was in the first half.

McManaman's goal was the first one that sprung to mind. When you watch it back though it was shocking defending. He ran three quarters of the length of the pitch with the ball and only had to beat one man. Nice finish at the end of the run right enough. An overrated goal looking back at it.

I certainly didn't applaud it but it was a great strike to be fair.

My first thought too and showed us how a real class European side operates.

    Their movement was unbelievable.
