[No Link] John Souttar

Discussion in 'Transfer Rumours' started by Vertie Auld, Apr 29, 2015.

  1. Nationality shouldn't matter, they're not good enough barring Christie IMO.

  2. No more fuds (ciftci) or duds(Armstrong,GM's) from utd.

  3. John Souttor not starting for the worst team in the league but some want him at us? Deary me

  4. The 3 of them will come good for us mate,

  5. Armstrong needs played in his proper position which is not wide left ..

  6. Definitely don't want this lad.

  7. That most United fans aren't bothered at all if they lose him should speak volumes

Can play DM and CB and has potential., I'd take him..

  9. Great ambition buying the Utd team * grim

  10. If we sign him we may aswell pull the shutters down on Celtic Park. We need quality not young duds from * teams who'd struggle to beat our reserves.

This. Signing guys from the worst team in our league cannot happen.

  11. If we do end up signing him, I can imagine a Scott Allan esque situation with a loan going to United as well. Could see anyone from O'Connell or Duffy(both back from loans), Nesbitt, Mcgregor or Mackay-Steven.

Played at every international level so far..

Don't think there is much of a risk here as long as wee add some much needed experience too.

  15. I would take him, i have been impressed by what I have seen of him so far, and he can play two important positions, CB + DM and he has height and strength.

I also like the look of that Pantic on his your tube vid too. Maybe get both.

  16. CELTIC are set to open talks with Dundee United’s versatile defender John Souttar amid claims the player is set to stay on at Dundee United.

Also able to play the holding midfield role, Souttar is out of contract at Tannadice and Celtic could pounce amid uncertainty over his future after talks over a new deal at United reportedly broke down.

But Tannadice boss Mixu Paatelainen has claimed that the in-demand player is ‘certain to re-sign’ for United. (The Scotsman)

Hmmm. He was rated a while ago but he's not exactly set the heather alight thus season, if he was even half decent he'd be doing his best to keep United up but he's not even been in the team recently.

Not seen much of his talent at all. Don't know what to think of him.

Utd fans not fussed to lose him, says it all, no thanks.

His agent probably trying to drum up business with this story anyway, seeing as he knocked back a new deal.

19 year old, came on to the scene as a 17 year old with bags of potential. Showed his worth in his first season or two. Playing in a depleted and low on confidence team the now. Dropped for being out of form etc etc.

Like I mentioned about youngsters in the ajer thread, we can't expect our 19 year olds to be world stars and consistent every week. He will dip in form and consistency for the next couple years, but reckon there is more than enough in him to come here and step up.

Simunovic plus another (actual) experienced defender. O'Connell and souttar as back ups. Get rid of Ambrose, boyata and blackett. Those three leaving should be more than enough to afford a decent centre back to help us perform in the champions league.
