TBH I don't get the hype either, for free I suppose there is zero risk but I don't want us to take him for the sake of it.

I'm not hyped about him but I think he is a good player already and could make the step up, pre-contract and small development fee is little risk. It's an area we need cover since he can play CB or CM, has great passing ability and defensive ability.

Pointless. Poor player on the way down rather than up.

    I'm confident this won't happen.

I'm just more in the mindset of thinking we need players to make an impact right now, on the first team.

I can't see him doing that. If he did sign he'd be unlikely to get alot of football which would stunt his development.

Then again, although I have seen quite a bit of him I'm not an expert on his style. I knew quite a bit about GMS, Armstrong and Ciftci for example.

Oh aye am not saying he is an answer to any of our problems, we need to get a couple of experienced players but that will most likely happen in the summer.

He would be at United till the end of the season. Then Blackett will be done here, Efe could well be gone, Charlie is injured a lot of the time now and past his best anyway. So he would be young back up and then also get an experienced cb in or rb and move Lustig in to cb which I'd prefer.

I absolutely despair with our signing policy. We already have 3 ex United players that have done * all (forget about Armstrongs game against Inter that as has been proven was a 1 off) and we are looking at another one, * right off. We need experience not another * project.

Think his loan ends in January, but he had a serious injury a few games in at Oldham. Should return but I'm not sure if he'd be fit. I agree with having him back but I think they envision Souttar in the CDM role over CB.

Oconnell and Soutar in January would be not bad.

I have no idea why anyone would want a guy who is playing regularly for a team who are only a few results away from being dead certs to be relegated this season. Buying young Scottish talent is all well and good but let's make sure they're decent enough. The boy might look decent in a game but let's remember the dross he's playing amongst. Wouldn't be hard to stand out in the Dundee United team just now.

We thought Armstrong was going the best thing since sliced bread and he's struggled. GMS started well and has faded away.

Thing is. Going from those of forum posts I put up a while back he's one of their worst players. At Dundee United that says a lot.

IMO this boy was a flash in the pan hyped prospect that the media clung onto as part of the Dundee United wonder kid stable thing that was going on.

He's going nowhere in the game and certainly not going to improve us in any way.

Armstrong struggling because he's playing out of position . Simple

Great passing ability and defensive ability? Why are Dundee United rock bottom of the league then? And conceding so many goals?

Really like the look of this lad. Get him in and we will have a good Scottish base for the next few years to develop.

    Souttar - Armstrong - GMS - Allan - Christie.

Where have you heard this? If you're actually ITK can you tell us what the * is going on with GMS? He's been a disaster this season. Very disappointing.

He's been inconsistent his entire career. If he performed to the level he's capable of regularly he wouldn't be playing in Scotland.
