when i first heard about our interest i thought na we should be aiming higher.but now i im all for it.he looks silky as * and exciting to watch,scores some crackers as well,well see some really exciting stuff with him and gms in the side.ciftci is more of a set goals up kind of striker rather than an out and out goalscorer,kind of like a chris sutton or jvh.we have griffiths who can get us 25 plus a year.think ciftci will be used for european games.hes only 23 also,so far from the finished article.

also not that excited about vossen.dont get the fuss.his record is pretty * with boro.i dont see anything that suggests * be any different from pukki,bangura,scepovic,rasmussen.hoping scep can prove me wrong though.would rather spend cheaper on a proven talent than spend more on another bangura.vossen isnt exactly a target man either.

 

To be fair its all about progression , it's obvious that Armstrong has continued to improve since joining and we will hopefully see that continue for several years. If that is possible with NC at Celtic then it doesn't matter what club identified and progressed the player we purchase. I would also take soutar off them, he looks like a great DM for the future.

Well that's when Ronny * him out the team he will get a 8 game ban for biting so we won't see him until October lol a would just wait and sign him in January now looking at it

 

look at it this way, over the past few years our record with bringing in strikers from abroad has been abysmal, in the last 4 5 year our best strikers have came from league 1 (hooper) and hibs (griffiths). as for vossen does he even have any interest in coming here, cifcti it seems is desperate for the move.

 

Look if he's our number one striking target, which it looks like he is.

Let's just get it done ffs.

 

Why? He'll have a ban regardless. It'd be better if he was training with us for the duration of his ban, however long it may be.

 

whats the deal with the ban anyway, does it have to wait till the start of next season, surely the guy should be told now, as it could effect any move.

 

At this point I'd be happy to just have him in as soon as possible. We could do with some more options going into the qualifiers. He's not the most prolific but he's a handful to play against and has good attributes. If he's cheap then get it done and dusted.

 

Rasmussen, Bangura, Balde, Pukki - wonder how much that lot cost us all in. Then you've got Finnbogason who many would have had us splash out millions on and break our wage structure for who has scored a grand total of 2 La Liga goals this season. If some haven't learned lessons by now, they never will. Ciftci isn't some ready made superstar, but we know what we are getting and I have confidence in our manager if he wants him.

Vossen said record in Europe is 1 goal in 2 games over around 30 games in total. The quality is there.

If your going to pick out vossens record at his season at boro, why don't you pick any of ciftcis seasons before playing for Utd. Literally, any of them. Even his record at Utd is nothing special.

He's also a far, far better footballer.

 

Yep, as if anyone really takes seriously those that say it is because of his on-pitch incidents that they don't want him.
